Hi guys, i'm a senior in highschool and i would like to get into university of toledo's bs md or better yet its ba md
i was wondering if i should retake my act. The Toledo BS MD webpage says you have to have a minumum of a
30 ACT, which is the exact score i have (ha, ha). However, i know i am going to be time crunched senior year with
ECs, hard classes (IB), and college apps. I know that it is very competitive so u probably need a lot higher act, but
for those of you accepted or know someone could you tell me your acts Thanks!

If you’re too busy to retake one ACT sitting, then you’re too busy. My kid is a going to start her 7th season as a athlete (all seven as Varsity) and would have been ready to retake the ACT if needed this upcoming semester.

Otherwise, accept the fact that you’re not as competitive as you’d want to be and know that any BA/MD or BS/MD program is an extreme reach for you.

Unless you have an amazing hook or are an underprivileged male URM, I doubt that an ACT 30 would get serious consideration for a BX/MD program. There are just too many higher stats students applying.

If you want to become a doctor, concentrate on finding an affordable school where you will get a med-school-worthy GPA.

If he is an Ohio resident, then UT will probably be an excellent school to get a high GPA in a science related field. Their medical and dental and engineering programs are more selective out of necessity beyond that however it is not a selective university. Good luck OP.

^ agreed – but that’s for a typical UT freshman applicant. OP is wondering about the combined BA-BS/MD program – which will be SUPER competitive. Meeting the minimum ACT won’t excite any of the application readers. Unless the OP can achieve a very dramatic ACT increase, he/she is practically locked out of being a serious candidate for any BA-BS/MD program.
