anyone? someone?

Please? Come on guys. USe that sheer power of intellect to help a fellow CC’er out.

No, they’re not.

Ohhhh mann…Do ppl get in with these kinds of scores?

bump…Do you guys help at all?

^ Yes they do get in with those scores, as long as everything else is there. BS/MD programs are difficult to get into, but you have a good chance of being accepted, if everything else is also there.

We have, it’s just not what you want to hear. Maybe a dozen people get into each BS/MD program. Almost all (if not all of them) have perfect SAT and ACT scores as well as GPAs and extracurriculars that would put the Peace Choir to shame. And I don’t think any of them take superscores either. You have good stats, you can get into many good colleges but a BS/MD is not realistic.

Hmmm…for the Monmouth/Drexel program, (which I am also applying to) we had one kid with a 1960 SAT score get in. He had hospital volunteering and stuff from Interact club but nothing like “extracurriculars that would put the Peace Choir to shame.”

Not sure if those programs are more or less competitive than UCSD’s, but UCSD has a cut-off SAT score of 2250 (someone feel free to correct) and I think other programs would be similar. But I do think you should have an okay chance as long as you have the demonstrated interest in medicine through your extra-curriculars and experience and whatnot.

^ They don’t have a cutoff, but yes it is very difficult to get into, a lot harder to get into than any Ivy except Brown’s BS/MD (PLME) program (The hardest program to get into in the country)

You’re qualified, but remember a BS/MD is trying to get into both med school and undergrad at the same time. It’s really hard.

^these programs are less competitive. I am sure of that.

^Yes, but what I don’t think you’re grasping is that even the least competitive BS/MD program is usually as competitive as any Ivy. I’m not saying you shouldn’t apply, I’m applying to Brown even though I know I won’t get in, but just don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

^thanks. I have applied to 10 programs thus far. By this wednesday, December 15th, I will have applied to 15 programs. Hopefully, I can get into one lol I also applied to Duke, considering my SAT superscore is pretty high. Wish me luck. And good luck for Brown PLME!

Oh no, I’m not applying for Brown PLME, just Brown lol.

Does anyone else have any other opinions on this?
