@NoahFence I’m Filipino. I attended University of Santo Tomas (Philippines) for a year, but I attended a community college here in WA.
I just received my admission letter (05/23/2018)
My stats:
- Requested Major: Biology (General)
- Assigned Major (Pre Sciences; not sure what this means but I probably have not yet met all the requirements for the major)
- In-State Resident
- attended WA community college (Highline College from 2015-2017) with 80 transferable credits.
- GPA: 3.96
- I attended high school in the Philippines which doesn't have SAT and ACT requirements.
- I attended a university in the Philippines for a year. s.
- I have no extracurricular activities or volunteer experience.
- Ethnicity: Asian (Filipino)

@zom12235 heyy! I heard when it shows pre-major it means you didnt get accepted into the major but got into UW general. Did you apply to Comp Eng or Comp science?? Do tou mind sharing your stats?

@Pickled1234 Not Allen. CE was my first choice major, and EE was my second. EE sent an acceptance letter a while ago to my email, but when I called Allen, they said they hadn’t yet received the application pile from general admissions. I’m guessing that as people get accepted, gen admissions will forward applications along. It might be a while still tho… I’ve gotten no word from general.
@BenFis Last Friday they told me they have just received the pile and expect to have their decisions released in the first week of June.
I got admitted to the UW but not to the College of Engineering… 
Could anyone recommend what else I can do in this case?
Should I just wait for the next year to apply for my major again?
You could always work on a minor/ attend part time. That way you’re still in the school and could even apply to be admitted in winter.
That’s a great idea! I wonder if there’s possibility that I keep getting rejected from the college of engineering and graduate when I’m 30 lol
