@georgieboy that’s awesome! We both got the major acceptance at the same time too, what a coincidence lol
@Nimbob when I go and click to pay the confirmation fee it states that I’ve been accepted into the school, so I’m almost positive we are in!
@georgieboy does it say “you have been offered admission to the Seattle campus of the University of Washington for Autumn quarter 2019”?
I’m tempted to go ahead and pay it already haha
Has anyone else who is a Psych major heard anything?
@Nimbob Yes! That’s exactly what mine says. I think I’m going to go ahead and pay too haha
@purplehusky19 @Nimbob @georgieboy CONGRATS!!! Please let us know when you have time and when you find out what the A&O dates are. Good luck you guys!!
Congrats guys!! Would love if you wouldn’t mind sharing your stats ?
@LilacSoul For sure! I am an OOS from a California Community college. I completed over 77 semester units and have a 4.0 GPA. My extra curricular were minimal, and I was simply involved in the American Sign Language club at my school. I applied for the Speech and Hearing Science major at UW. Hope this was useful!
Hey guys!! I just got in. I checked the portal tonight (June 3rd) saying I was admitted to UW Seattle campus! I am a public health major and was accepted to my major like 3 weeks ago.
@Haleymaree Congrats!! it’s an amazing feeling
@LilacSoul my transcripts transferred from three difference colleges because I moved a few times, so I’m not sure what my overall GPA is (guessing around 3.5), but my grades for the major prerequisites were all 4.0. My latest transfer is from BC. For some reason I was classified as an OOS on my application, although I’ve been in WA for 3 years, luckily that didn’t work against me. I worked and volunteered a lot with elders and little children, and have other life experiences that led me into choosing Speech and Hearing Sciences as my major, which I think helped in this process.
Good luck!!
any psych majors heard back yet? :c
Hi guys, getting kinda nervous here… i’ve heard nothing back on my admissions offer yet. Anyone else in a similar boat…?;
Bellevue college GPA: 3.83
Intended major: Law Societies and Justice (i know there is a separate application due after 1qtr at UW)
Secondary major: Sociology (Non capacity Constrained)
It’s been awhile since Feb. 19th and getting anxious reading all these acceptances (congrats to all BTW)! Anyone have any pre acceptance/rejection coping techniques!?
Thank you!!
Don’t worry, plenty of us are in the “still waiting” boat, including me
I Applied for psychology. In state from Washington CC. Nothing yet, still checking and waiting.
@blakeco, my coping technique was accepting admission at my second choice school (Seattle U), but I’m still obsessively checking my UW student portal and walking around in a constant state of anxiety. My grades aren’t quite as good as some have posted here, but that’s owing to a couple periods of burnout from being a single mom and trying to work my way through school while working more than full time. I’ve got a couple 0.0’s on my transcript, but most of my grades are 3.7 or higher, with 4.0’s in my pre-major work. I’m in my early 40’s, working on my first Bachelor’s degree and a first generation student.
I’m coming from Seattle Central, 3.4 GPA, political science major, LSJ, secondary major.
Nothing…my sister transferred to UW in fall 2017 and she found out around June 5, so I know this is normal, but it’s hard to not have a plan for next year and watching the other schools I’m accepted to go through their registration and housing processes while I’m still waiting. I just can’t afford $500+ to do those things when I don’t know for sure that I will be going there. I’ll be graduating from a WA CC and had a 3.93 GPA on my UW application. Anyone else really wanting to get into, but starting to hate UW? Congrats to all who have found out either way and good luck to all!
@LeonorC I just registered for my A&O! I’m not sure if the orientation dates vary by major or what but the nearest one is Monday, June 24 and the last one is Monday, September 16. There’s an orientation about every week in between those two dates. Hope this helps!
@georgieboy how can you register for your A&O? I checked it multiple times but it only had dates back in April and May.
