@Nimbob oof thank you for that link! I’m not too sure what to do. I might have to miss a few days of class and fly out to Seattle. Getting a B in a class would be better than not being able to register for the classes I need at UW.
@georgieboy you could call and ask if majors get to first dibs on the classes or not. Might save you some stress

welp REJECTED from CSE through email, it says: “regret to inform you that allen school will not you admission bla bla bla”. So does that mean I got rejected fully from UW? Is there still a chance for me to get in as my second major or even pre-science?

Stats:
Washington resident
UW Bothell - cumulative 3.89
CSE 142 - 3.8
CSE 143 - 3.9
MATH 124 - 4.0
MATH 125 - 4.0
MATH 126 - 3.4
PHYS 121 - 3.9
4.0 in both writing courses
Transferred to Community College - cumulative 3.87 for winter quarter
Went on a summer study abroad program with UW, lots of extra curriculars including CSE research at UWB, started a club this year
I honestly don’t really know what went wrong - I thought I had a really strong essay and I had two letters of recommendation from my last appeal. I know that UW doesn’t really look at transfer students from 4-year colleges but they said that they would consider me as a CC transfer if I took courses there for Winter and Spring and unenrolled from my 4-year. UW Bothell isn’t a bad school though and I don’t mind staying. But I wanted to take more classes in Seattle’s CSE program since I’m really interested in HCI and the time don’t offer classes in that subject at UWB.
Congrats to everyone who got in though! I’m hoping to get in for Informatics (HCI track) but it seems pretty unlikely.

I guess my extracurricular and the essay wasn’t that strong. But it still is frustrating…

Anyone trying to transfer into the art department by chance or know any stats on acceptance?? My current credits are all from a Canadian university so I have no idea how my credits will look to UW. Super nervous and haven’t heard a single thing
