@Roomba6576 I got into ECFS too. Maybe we should meet in UW.
Regarding applying to Seattle U:
While they are still accepting applications from transfer students, the priority deadline was at the beginning of March. Based on the numbers I was given during a transfer orientation, they’ve only accepted about 20% of the transfer applications they’ve recieved.
This is by no means meant to discourage people from applying; SU is a fantastic school and they are still taking applications. While they may be less competitive than UW, they are still VERY competitive.
I was accepted at Seattle U as a transfer that met the priority deadline. I’m transferring from Seattle Central with a cumulative of 3.2 on a massive upward trend, and 4.0’s in all relevant pre-reqs (poli sci and legal studies major). I’m also a first generation college student and a non-traditional one at that (turning 42 in September working on my first degree). I’ve accepted there, but will withdraw should I get accepted at UW.
Edit to add: Seattle U offers merit based scholarships to anyone with a 3.2 or higher cumulative GPA. Those scholarships start at 8K annually. Annual tuition is $43K, with no credit restrictions (20 credits costs the same as 15).
Hope this info helps!!
Thank you so much @fernqueen and congratulations as well!! I feel you, UW has also been my dream school for the past 5 years. And @gNelly thank you! Everyday that passes is another day closer to getting notified. I have a good feeling for everyone still waiting. ? Plus I took a 4 year break to work after graduating from CC, so if I could get in I’m sure others can as well.
By the way, I’m planning to take A&O on September 16. Anyone else here going that day?
Edit: I pushed my A&O session earlier to August 28 since that’s when we’ll be registering for classes. I wouldn’t want to register too late. Let me know if anyone is going that day.
I’ve been seeing all these posts about people getting accepted which is great, but it begs the question: has anyone gotten rejected? It seems like every post has been of someone getting accepted! Maybe they’ve already sent out all rejection letters??
I saw a few people a while ago say they were rejected
Congratulations to all that have been accepted!!
Still waiting to hear back. I think the next wave of acceptances will be next week. They don’t seem to send anything on Fridays
hopefully hear back today still waiting! applied for pre social science for intent to apply for communications. first year of cc in california and second year at seattle central cc, completed AA degree this past spring quarter with 90 credits
Yes! I have a feeling we’ll all know by the end of next week. At least, if they stick to their promise to notify us in June. I had my UW Bothell deposit deadline extended to July 1st, so they better let us know before then.
I hope it is soon. Pretty much losing my mind from wondering LOL. It doesn’t help that this is the first break from school that I’ve had since I first started my college endeavor. My brain is already sprinting laps from the downtime, leaving only this wait to focus on.
Has anyone who applied to enter Psychology heard anything back? Anything at all?
@kimetsunoyaiba I applied for psych and haven’t heard a thing
Anyone still waiting (including myself) is supposed to find out this week! (Per the admissions office and also their decision deadline page on the UW website). This week will especially be a nail biter.
OMG like I need any more stress surrounding this. I’m already checking the portal every 45 seconds. Time to cancel.my week so I can constantly refresh the page…
Same here, I check way too often. Our luck, it will be at 5:00 PM Friday before anything posts. The end is near…
Any1 got rejected or accepted by the informatics school yet? And do transfer have the chance to be on the waitlist like freshman applications?
If past is any indicator, they dont seem to release decisions on Fridays. So, theres that.
@jesssik , I did see on Reddit that informatics decisions were out a week or two ago… For some reason, it will not allow me to attach the link. Reference Reddit and search “Informatics Decisions” It should pop up.
Great point, @sylviermoone ! Let’s hope for the same scenario this week.
Still waiting for economics major decision
