UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON AUTUMN 2019 TRANSFER

Oh my gosh, I just got accepted! It appeared on the transfer application status page.
3.64 gpa 90 credits
Psychology
Good luck everyone!! It feels surreal

Does it say anywhere on MyUW how much financial aid/grants/loans they’re offering us?

i still haven’t heard!!! I just want to be able to say that I got in even though I will be attending else where.

So, you plan to decline an acceptance that could go to someone else? Seriously, you should withdraw your application if you have no intention of attending. You being accepted costs someone else an admission. Your narcissism “I just want to be able to say that I got in even though I will be attending else where” may cost someone else their dream.

At this point it’s probably too late and won’t affect others’ acceptance chances. There’s also the waitlist/appeals.

Still waiting… the wait is just killing me, but hope it pays off.
Congrats to all who got in though!

Applying for Political Science, still haven’t heard anything back too.
I’m an International transfer student so that kinda lowers my chance I guess? Idk, I just wanna hear something back at this point

I just finished crying because my application status updated and I’M ACCEPTED. ?? For everyone still waiting, do not lose hope. I attended a Washington CC and graduated with an Associates of Business. My cumulative gpa was not impressive at 3.2, but I believed that I wrote my personal statement well plus I had sort of an upward trend in grades. I have applied for English at UW, so I’ve been assigned Pre-Humanities. Can’t wait to see some of you at Orientation!!

Awesome- thank you for the info, glad to hear people are getting decisions back. Best of luck wherever you end up! Congrats on getting in!

PolI sci major here, and still waiting. Congrats to everyone that’s gotten in so far!!

Aero and Astronautical Engineering here. Still no response either. No transcript available to view and still the same “we will inform you…” message. I suppose the upside for those of us that haven’t heard back yet is that we also haven’t been denied yet. Stay optimistic.

A classic Schrodinger’s problem, right, @gNelly?

@sylviermoone , exactly!

@LeonorC congratulations! like you, i felt like a long shot with my gpa. got accepted yesterday. i’m still in shock. i’ve been dreaming about going to uw since i first moved to washington back in 2014. i can’t believe i actually get to go.

Congrats, @LeonorC !

It’s so great to see a flood of positive news on these forums! Congrats to everyone who got in! I’m a non-resident transfer from a WA CC and my application status hasn’t changed. Hopefully this means it will happen soon.

I don’t think I could go a single day without checking the UW portal even if someone paid me not to, lol. Hopefully we hear back soon! I would say that it surely will be within the next eight days at least.

@Roomba6576 This is the scholarship :https://education.uw.edu/admissions/funding/scholarships/undergrad. Received one full year tuition basically. I did cry for 2 minutes because I was so happy. However still no notice if I have actually been accepted to UW yet…

I got in! Spent all morning crying, because I had convinced myself that I wasn’t going to get in. I am a pre major for arts and sciences
Stats: 3.35 Gpa from WA state CC
90 cumulative credits, all but 3 were from running start program during high school.

Hi all - The portal lit up for me today! I’ve been accepted as a PRE SOCIAL SCIENCE major. I will be applying to the Jackson School to major in International Studies next quarter. I’ve been following this thread for a few months now and want to let you all know that it kept me sane through the waiting process.

I went to Seattle Central College and obtained my AA with a 3.97 GPA. I transferred credits into SCC from a Las Vegas College and UNLV from my first try at college right out of HS, my GPA for those classes was roughly a 2.2 GPA. Cumulatively my GPA wasn’t strong, but I think the upward trend, my professional experience, personal circumstances, and essay did it for me.

In case anyone needs to see this: if I hadn’t gotten into UW, I would have applied to SeattleU - they accept transfer apps through August 15.

Good luck to everyone!
