University of Washington

Hello, in your opinion can I get into the University of Washington?

Stats:
White male
Will graduate with a 3.5 GPA (unweighted)
7 or 8 APs, including 2 self-studied (Classes: American History, Chemistry, Calculus AB, Government, English Language and Composition, and possibly Physics.
Self-studied: French Language and Computer Science).
In freshman and sophomore year, I took as many honors classes as possible
I spent my junior year in France
Extra-curriculars: Not much really, a few clubs but nothing special.
SATs: I haven't taken them yet but throughout my life I have always done really well on standardized tests and this should be no exception. I'll definitely be studying hard for it and I should get a really high score.
Planned major: Computer Science or Linguistics

In .

Umm if you are graduating with a 3.5 as in getting 4.0s your senior year I'm not so sure. If you have a 3.5 UW 9-11th grade and you have a really good SAT score then you are closer to a match.

Yes that's if I get all As senior year (trust me, I know myself better than you do, so don't try to tell me I may or may not get all As. I know I will.) Unfortunately all those APs will only be "expected results" as well by the time I apply.

So, basically is it impossible?

What HS do you attend? the UW does apply weight to your HS grades from past students. At 3.5 I think you really have to shine on the exams (sat, act) because I think the average is now around 3.7.

Wait, what's your 40 time? How many yards per carry did you average?

I attend a "normal" public high school... don't know what you're talking about on your second post.

Yuo have to know about hat opie's saying if you want to go to UW...sorry

lol, I am pretty sure you have a great chance of going to UW, especially if you are from Washington...

It depends on where you go to school. If you're in state, then yes, definitely. If you're out of state, I'd say borderline. UDub is over 85% Washington state residents - they say that they are committed to in-staters.

Unfortunately I'm not in-state.

Man, this sucks, every time you guys ask for clarifications (if you're this or that you're DeFINITELY IN) I'm forced to give the wrong answer...

Anyway I'll apply next year and see what happens. Thanks guys. (If anyone has any more advice feel free to post it!)
