Who else here received this award? I'm just curious as to how many people actually get it

I did. As did another student who used to go to my high school, as far as I know. :)

I received it as well. This probably isn’t as specific as you were hoping for, but they list it as being the top 1-2% of the applicant pool. I have read figures elsewhere which say this is anywhere from 75-130 students, though I can’t say how accurate those numbers are or if they reflect this year.

The scholars program expects that between 75-130 students will accept the scholarship and come to the university. The actual number is somewhat higher, but most of the students offered the scholarship decide to accept it after finding out more about what incredible opportunities the program has to offer.

I got it! Wow, top 1-2% of the applicant pool. I hope this bodes well for my other colleges. You can look at my post history for stats

I got it as well!

are all of you going to the welcome event?

Yep, I’ll be going!

My son will be there - very excited about Northeastern and the Scholars program

For those of you that received this, did you apply early?

I applied RD. Not sure if I’d take the scholarship - room and board costs the same as my EFC for another school (to which I was accepted EA - it’s smaller, has a much stronger int’l relations program, is in DC, and is minutes away from my house). Oh well…I feel really bad now, but I can’t do anything about it.

My son applied RD and got it.

I received it as well!

Would you all be kind enough to post some basic Stats - SAT or ACT scores and class rank

my son is top 3 of 350 in his class, 2260 SAT, 36 ACT, Eagle Scout, 3 degree black belt, varsity soccer, strong community service, strong recommendations

Daughter - 2350 SAT, 3.98 W GPA, Summer Job in Foreign Country/Foreign Language, Great Essay, Soccer Player & Referee. Community Service and Good Recs. National Hispanic Scholar. Still surprised about getting scholarship, did not even know it existed. Probably low GPA for the scholarship, but they looked at it holistically and considered everything else, as well as the high SAT. I have a feeling Northeastern values SAT very heavily, based on other stats posted for different acceptances and amounts of lesser scholarships.

She has gotten 5 acceptances, and this is her top choice among them. Of course still waiting for everything to come in. Will be coming to the scholars weekend. That might help seal the deal.
