Unsure if my stats are quite in BU's league, Chance me?

BU is definitely my top choice school but I’m pretty sure I’m only barely qualified? First choice school is School of Management but also thinking about applying to CAS or Communications.

No SAT/or SAT II’s
ACT: 26 (Math 25, Reading 29, English 25, Science 26), retook it and waiting for my score. Can I take the December test since I’m applying RD?
GPA: UW: 3.7/ W: 4.5

Major Awards: Mainly school awards for grades. Finalist for National Scholastic Press Association Design. Chosen as best student for Freshman honors Earth Science. Job/Work Experience: Just some drawing commissions here and there, nothing major.
Volunteer/Community Service: 200+ hours at Science Museum’s Summer camp, soup kitchen, clerical work for the Ratna foundation, cleaning crates at a local bunny shelter, tutoring kids through YouthLit, helping local women and children through women’s rights club, making art with/for kids at the local Children’s hospital and orphanages through NAHS, a few other day projects such as trail restorations through different organizations
Summer Activities: Just lots of volunteering and summer homework, as well as the aforementioned commissions when I have time.

Also feeling strong about both the CommonApp and Why BU? essays

I’m technically first gen seeing as how my parents got degrees from foreign universities 20 years ago?

U are not a first gen college student if your parents have a college education from ANY country.

Oh, alright! My counselor was wrong then! Thank you!

Your stats are good except for the ACT. I would retake for a 29+

To be a match with BU, your ACT should be a 30+.

Grades and ECs are really solid, it’s just the ACT that needs works. If you can break a 30 I’d say you have a great shot. Yeah if you’re applying RD you can send the Dec scores, just send them the first day they’re available, and don’t waste $$ rush ordering them you’ll be fine.
