I am a senior with a 3.2 GPA, unweighted. Over the years i have taken a total of 11 honors and ap classes, (15 including this year). I got a 28 on the ACT with a 34 on math, 27 science, 26 english. My SAT was an 1830 with 720 math, 530 critical reading, and 580 writing. I've applied to Cooper Union (my dads choice) University of Colorado-Boulder, Virginia Tech, RIT, RPI, Union College, SUNY at Buffalo, and Northeastern University. I want to major in mechanical engineering and am currently in BC Calculus and Honors Physics. I go to a competitive school, but they don't weight, or give us class rank. What are my chances of getting into these colleges? And do you believe that being hispanic will help me get in?
Also, my freshman year i slacked off and got a 2.3 GPA. My sophmore and Junior years combined were about a 3.5 GPA

aim higher

you mean apply to better colleges?

Your uptrend in grades helps you out a lot. I think you are in at CU, Buffalo, RIT, Va Tech and Northeastern. Don't know about the others. Best of luck!

^^fo sho foo

I think that your scores are definitely high enough for most of your schools. Also, all of your honors and ap classes will probably help balance out your gpa. You'll probably get in to Cooper Union, Union, Buffalo, RIT, RPI and Virginia Tech. And the others are a maybe.

Good luck!
