I just received my SAT scores yesterday and got a 2030, which is a lot higher than I expected so I'm happy about that.
But the breakdown is unusual...

CR: 630
M: 620
W: 780

My writing score is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than my other scores, and I've heard writing is not even looked at by some colleges. Will colleges overlook my writing score and just focus on my less impressive reading and math scores?

Congrats on the 2030!

And it honestly depends on what college you’re going to :)

Thanks. If a school doesn’t release its writing score, is it safe to say that they won’t consider it?

If this is your first SAT, get some practice over the Summer and retake it in Fall.

if you have time, you can take SAT classes during the summer.

As erosmin said, it really depends on the college. Some colleges will just look at CR+Math. Some other colleges will just look at CR+Writing or Math+Writing. Just do more research and apply strategically… Or you can just prep up a bit more and take the test again.

Okay, thanks. I probably won’t be taking it again as it was my second time taking it and I did improve a lot. Hopefully schools I want look at all 3 sections.
