So my SAT score is a 2100

800 on writing, 650 on Critical reading and Math.

In my opinion, its just a....weird score, considering the huge discrepancy in my writing and other 2 sections. 650 isn't bad, but to go from an 800 in one section, to a 650 on the other two sections....its kind of strange dont you think?

Will colleges think of my score as any less than a 2100 because my writing was 800, since writing is a newer addition to the test? And also will they be concerned that my math and critical reading scores are so much lower?

Many colleges put less weight on writing than the other sections I believe. The CR+M combined used be the old way they did it and many like to consider this score more. However, it is still important to get a high grade in writing. Just like people’s math scores are higher than their reading scores, colleges expect you to score an “okay” score. They won’t hold it against you that your writing is high and your other scores aren’t as high.

Just practice your reading and math more.

ClassicLays

That’s a false statement actually. Colleges are caring more and more about the writing section as time goes on

Ive heard straight from colleges during tours that colleges are beginning to count writing just as much…but who knows
