Hi I just finished sophomore year and my GPA right now is pretty low.. I finished with 3.53 UW and 4.53 W. Which one is Berkeley more inclined to look at? Please let me know. Thank you!

I don’t have a link but they care about UC GPA. It’s weird only certain classes AP standing count.

My UC GPA (if I calculated it correctly…) is a 4.5

errr, not sure how you can have a UW gpa of 3.53 and a UC gpa of 4.5, the gpas usually don’t differ an entire point. Probably ask your school counselor about that.

UC GPA only counts up 8 APs adding an extra point. So the most your GPA can rise from your unweighted is like .33 (I forget if UCs count all 4 years of high school).

8 extra points/(6 classes x 4 years) = .33

UCs only count sophomore and junior years, and that’s 8 APs total (not 8 each year). Some UCs look at both capped and uncapped gpa.
