You have a solid GPA and your SAT score seems average, but a little on the low side for schools like Yale. Also, get those SAT II scores up especially Math II, try and break 700 if you can because a 670 will really not get you far. Your ECs are great- show leadership and passion, have you won any awards on a national level or anything?
Being black and Jamaican helps you, which I think your chances at Yale go up dramatically.
Low reach at UMich, UGA, Amherst and BU. Reach for Yale and Dartmouth…
Chance me back if you have time? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/736548-chance-me-top-schools-ivies.html

I think your TASS experience, URM status, and enrollment in a highly-regarded public school helps counterbalance your relatively low scores (which aren’t low except by Ivy League standards). Hard to say about Amherst, Yale, and Dartmouth, but I’m sure you’ll be in at UGA and BU, and decent chances at UMich. Just don’t list Honor Roll on your app as an award.

thnx so much
i’ll have think about retaking math II

bump

bump…
i’m thinking about applying to Yale SCEA…it’s my dream school…but i really want to know if I have a chance
am i being realistic?

well this sounds absolutely atrocious but its my honest opinion: being a black female and writing about your family’s migration is going to help you alot and i think you have a pretty good resume so you should get into 3 of the 6 mentioned, i cant be specific as to which 3 because with admissions standards that high those schools can be unpredictable but you should get into 3

chance me back at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/735932-chance-me-i-will-chance-back.html

I think you’d have a better chance at Amherst and Dartmouth, where there isn’t THAT much diversity, so they need more URM applicsnts. But you still have as much of a chance as anyone at Yale if you bring up your SAT II’s and write excellent essays.
