UPenn ED Class of 2023

I’m doing it with my fam. Its ride or die bois, ride or die.

guys does penn get first quarter grades or do you have to send them in?

I’ve heard the request them from guidance counselors if they feel the need to check up on your academic performance, but regardless, you don’t need to send them in yourself.

I’m also opening the decision in front of my parents. If I get in, I’ll play “Philadelphia Freedom” from my laptop. If not, I’ll adapt, improvise, and overcome.

I want my parents to be there! They will celebrate with me if I get in and comfort me if I don’t. Are you guys recording your reactions? I think I’m going to have my dad record me (and delete the video IMMEDIATELY if I don’t get in! Hahaha!)

UPenn allowed SAT II testing until the November date, so they wouldn’t have looked through my application before then, correct?

None of my official SAT score reports were even sent to UPenn by 11/21 anyways, but my app anxiety is making me nervous that they didn’t see my 800 Math 2 and only saw the other two less-important tests that I had self-reported on the Coalition App; just trying to see if anyone knows if they have a system in place to read the apps of November test-takers later

How much do you think legacy matters? If I have amazing grades but extracurriculars and essays that are only pretty good, do you think it could make the difference between acceptance and deferral/rejection?

legacy ed is a pretty big deal at penn ngl, but who knows at this point how much it factored in

Bro I have the hardest bio test of the year on Thursday there’s NO WAY I’m gonna do well I’m gonna be super nervous

idk what time zone y’all are in, but in CST, in 20 minutes, we can officially say “Hey guys, Penn decisions come out tomorrow”

Well I’m in EST, and the decisions are coming out tomorrow for us too haha

I accidentally put ap lit and comp instead of lang on comp on my ap score reports. Do you think they will notice?

@succeed1253 yeah if you do that they incinerate the computer on which the application is being read, evacuate the building, and ban you from applying to any accredited university in the United States for the next 23 years.

Lmao i’m kidding, its not a big deal, its one small data point in the context of a huge application. No one will come after you for it, i’m like 99.99% sure.

what would @skieurope recommend in this situation?

How competitive is Huntsman admission?

hahhaha @hsclassof2023 I was thinking to the exact same thing!

good luck guys!!!

Good luck, everyone!

@jackthealmighty considering they take like 45-50 kids from hundreds, if not thousands, of applicants, I would say pretty competitive

one day more from the les mis soundtrack is stuck in my head…how ironic
