Hey guys, I was curious as to whether or not anyone has gotten any information on when their interviews would be taking place. Please post if you have been contacted yet and where you are located! Thanks

Hey, I’m in a city with a bunch of Penn alums and did my interview this past weekend!

English, when did you submit your application??

October 23rd, heard from the alum last Thursday. I think it’s pretty dependent on how big the alum network in your area is—I’m in DC so we get a bunch, so if you’re in a less populated/West Coast area you may not hear from someone immediately (I’m just guessing though).

I’m in the greater Seattle area. I’ve actually spoken to the director of interviews for my state and numerous other alumni in my area. They’ve all said that Seattle has one of the largest and most active alumni networks in the country so I should expect an interview. I submitted last Thursday and I’m still waiting for my Penn Portal ID, but I hope to receive an interview offer soon.

I’m in Vancouver and I submitted my app on 31 October. I got my interview offer today and I’m doing it next weekend. So nervous.

@Wharton, I wouldn’t worry–my Penn portal came about 3 days after I submitted, and the alum contacted me about a week after.

Good luck Harrovian! Mine was really chill, so there’s no need to stress.

My son had an interview this past Saturday the 2nd…We are in southern NJ…

I had my interview this past weekend! I submitted my app in early October + I’m located near a major city. it was a very relaxed setting and interview overall – my interviewer even told me not to stress out or worry before we began

@English2014 , who was ur interviewer?

A really cool recent grad who did comp sci/literature. Are you in the area?

How did you find out about the interview? Did that come through email? Directly from the interviewer?

I am really hoping for an interview, but I’m a couple hours outside DC. Is it only within a certain mile radius or something, do you think?

Hi! Recent grad and alumni interviewer here. Just wanted to shed some light on the interview program.

Interviews are organized regionally and availability is based on the number of alumni interviewers in your area – I’m not sure who would have this information, but you may be able to get it from a regional admissions officer. That being said, Penn Admissions is working with Alumni Interviewing to try to get everyone an interview.

It might take a little time, but if you submitted your application and you haven’t heard yet, there are two possibilities: (1) they just haven’t assigned you yet or (2) your alumni interviewer who’s been assigned to you is just a bit busy and hasn’t yet contacted you.

In any case, there are Penn alumni all over the country and Admissions/Alumni Interviewing is working their hardest to assign everyone an interview. I’d say not to sweat it and just wait a little longer to hear back.

Good luck everyone! And here’s a link for more information: [Interviews - Penn Admissions](http://www.admissions.upenn.edu/apply/freshman-admission/interviews)

How do you get notified of an interview? Via email or phone? I ask this because my cellphone has been broken for several days now and I have been unable to get a new phone yet.

My son got an e-mail…

Interview notifications are sent by email. If the interviewee doesn’t respond via email within a week, then we’re instructed to make a phone call.

I was just notified for my Penn interview via email-- it was 6 days later than when I submitted my application. I’m excited!

My interviewer emailed me 6 days after i sent in my application. We’re scheduled to meet on Nov 11. I’m really nervous because he’s the CEO of a company and he’s graduated from Wharton. From his emails, however, he does seem really chill. Hopefully no really difficult questions. Best of luck everyone!

Did you ask the person who emailed you who your interviewer is going to be or are you just assuming its the same person?
