CX3 you did not say "successfully" in your first post. But your last post begs the question of what "successfully" means, since it is most likely defined differently from person to person.

anyone got accepted today?

nothing here

im sure everythingll be fine for you guys, it seems like u had really strong apps

3.8 from nyu with good recs and decent essays applying for econ (class of 2009)... i'm more worried about my sat's and sat II's (i had one sat II that if u saw my score u'd think i didn't even show up for it lol)

has every 1 received the full mailed package? What does it look like?

its a blue brochure folded into three parts if you get what i'm saying, with an acceptance letter inside and instructions on how to accept/decline the offer. But there's no fin aid award letter in it, which is what I need to make my decision. Did they tell you your award yet? I'm running out of time, I gotta respond to my other offers real soon.

no news here. i will post either way when i find out. i am just feeling frustrated because i just want to know. i have deposited at washU, and i'd like to know if that is really gonna be where i am or what. all year, we transfers wait and wait and wait and i'm just so tired of it. sorry to be venting--friends don't quite get it; they're all like, 'don't worry, you'll hear soon!' but i'm SO aggravated.

has anyone accepted been able to see their financial aid award?

yeah i'm sick of waiting already

me too, cant wait anymore

honestly, what the hell is taking so long? there were only 2K apps, and not all of those for the college. i don't want to wait around til' June. i will go crazy.

does anyone know if all the decisions will be given by friday?

yes.

every year it's friday.

and rolls over the weekend.

to be honest, i don't want to know my decision this friday. Thats because its the 2nd batch.

hey lets all be positive it might work out :)

so we will all know by friday then? is that the idea?

chanman, why don't you want to be in the 2nd batch? were most of the 2nd batch last year rejections? what's the deal?

i remember last year that most of the 2nd batch decisions were rejections. i don't know if that means anything or that it's just a coincidence.. but mostly everybody from cc got rejected during the 2nd.

i'm guessing the 3rd batch is the waitlist batch.

that's because the time interval is perfect* between 1st and 3rd.

tdjr21,

"The concern is whether or not people will be able to hold a 3.8 + GPA, similiar to their GPA's at their previous universities."

I think having a GPA in such a range or higher would be one of the best indicators of objective academic success, and one which we could all generally agree upon. When I suggested the transfers relax somewhat, it wasn't simply a reference to your post. Rather I got the feeling that this nervousness is common among admitted/pending transfers, and I suggested they should be at ease because they've proven they're capable. That's all.
