Upitt merit scholarship results 2022

So many wonderful merit packages rolling in. Congratulations everyone. Nothing here yet.

@paparent106 neuroscience !

@adamt12 Pitt has a cost analysis form you can submit. You can pull it up via google. You need to have have competing offers from other schools that brings the COA below Pitts COA.

In the past Pitt has very much stuck with their scholarship threshold of GPA and test scores— both parts. But you should always try!! A few people logged on in March of last year with 32s and said they got a small amount of merit.

@carachel2 , D has a SAT of 1350, but everything else is top, top percentage of class, AP classes, she really wants Pitt but without any assistance, its a long shot, i understand they want the top students to get assistance, but i am hoping they like her answers to the 3 questions and everything else she submitted, thanks for your response

OOS D was offered full tuition with Chancellor’s nomination. 34 ACT 1490 SAT. 37.5 Gpa 7 AP’s and one dual enrollment.

3.75 gpa

@kjsnnewyork congrats! What school/major?

OOS full tuition with Chancellor’s nomination :slight_smile: :

36 ACT
4.88 Weighted GPA / 4.00 Unweighted GPA
Major: Mathematics-Economics

@xlhx33 congratulations! Hard work pays off, way to go!

These are all great awards! Congratulations to everyone who has received a letter. Question
how long was it between receiving your acceptance letter and your scholarship letter? I keep thinking something will come in the mail, but so far, nada. Daughter was accepted Oct 18 to honors and to apply for Med GAP.

@JMRome this is just my guess, but I think they are being rolled out by stats. In other words the higher ACT/SAT awards are rolling out now and then hopefully my D will be in the next batch. She was accepted to Pitt w/ GAP to Public & International Affairs and Honors College. She has a 34 ACT
was accepted on September 13th. I’m hoping by Thanksgiving she’ll hear something if it goes along the way it did last year. That is NOT to say that kids who were accepted later with a higher stats than my D won’t hear before or after
it just seems to be going in terms of stats.

@AmyBeth68 Thanks for your response. I’ve seen a few with the same stats or lower than my D
so am getting anxious. (Her average is 93/100, not weighted in all-honors h.s. that doesn’t rank, 34 ACT, 1450 SAT. Nothing in the mail again today, but her acceptance came within 10 days of applying. This is nerve-wracking! Good luck to your D. Maybe we’ll hear at the same time!

@kjsnnewyork , congrats.

Did the chancellors invitation come with the scholarship letter?

Anyone in state and has received chancellors nomination yet ?

Yes. First part of letter announced the scholarship and then indicated that she was also nominated to compete for a chancellor’s scholarship.

Dietrich-Biological Sciences

My son applied on 10/15 and was accepted on 11/8 (engineering). He received letters of Honors College acceptance and also guaranteed admission to the MS graduate engineering program. Are merit scholarships completely separate or this is it for him?

@ashto12 they are separate
they started sending merit notifications first week of November. Good luck to your son!

So excited! My OOS S18 was notified today that he has been awarded a full tuition scholarship and was nominated for the Chancellor’s Scholarship! The merit award info letter was dated 11/6. His admissions letter (Dietrich) was dated 9/11 and his Honors College letter was dated 9/18. All were single sheet letters in standard white envelopes. Congrats to all who have gotten good news and good luck to all who are waiting!

Wow @pickledginger that is SO exciting. Congrats to your Son!!!
