Ok, this may sound stupid, but I was wondering.. let's say you're a junior, can you still take lower division courses and get credits?? or are you not allowed to do so?

of course!
hence why there are plenty of juniors/seniors taking their GEs lol.
what you can't do is take a class that is a lesser version of an upper-div class (all of those classes that say "not open to students with credit for blahblah" for example). or things like taking physics 10 after you've done physics 6a or something. or french 2 after you've done french 3.

oh okay.. Thanks liyana!

Is there a website that will let us see exactly what courses at a community college equal what at UCLA?

I've checked on assist but I don't think it works like that. For example, I have to take a couple of Shakespeare classes at UCLA but my community college offers one and I would rather take that this summer at my cc instead of at UCLA... This is probably a dumb question but I just can't figure it out on assist, I think because the course is not a pre-req.

if assist doesn't work, you'll have to actually ask a counselor. that's the only website i think that exists...
