I received an email about purchasing tickets for football a while ago. It stated there was a lottery that must be entered today by 11:59 pm. However, I havent even sent in my deposit yet to attend and the email states:

"UF students do not have to be currently registered for classes to enter the lottery or order their tickets. However, undergraduate students will need to be registered for at least twelve (12) credit hours and graduate students will need to be registered for at least six (6) credit hours to pick-up their tickets in the fall. Students who do not meet this criteria should not enter the lottery for a ticket since they will not be eligible for ticket pick-up. "

So is this something I should register for even though I am not registered for classes...? Any other help from people who have entered is also appreciated.

do you intend on going to UF, or do you even want tickets? if you don't plan on atending it's a waste of $70, and if you do plan why havn't you paid the fees?

if you want tickets and don't care about the money than do it, it's common sense. Would they evel let you register without paying the deposits I don't know, but if you want the tickets than you should have tried to get them, I really don't understand what the question was.

Hey, I did the same thing USC. I'm stuck between two schools right now, Florida being one of course, and opted to pay the $70 because I will def. want football tickets if I attend. Geez, only 9 days left to make a decision. Good luck to ya, I need it!

I didn't, and am VERY ed. I've been a diehard UF football fan watching just about every game since I was 8 years old, and I didn't get any *ing tickets. Now If I want them I'd have to pay 5x as much from people scalping, it sucks and I am supremely ***ed off.

My daughter won the freshman football lottery too. I found out by logging onto the gatordex...put in her ufl email : ****@ufl.edu and opened the email. She is in Orlando now for Grad nite but she is going to be so cyked...she is a huge football fan.

I am ****ed off as well. I just found out that I was not chosen in the lottery.

I remember hearing something about there being a second lottery on one of my campus tours... but I am not sure. I am extremely angry, this is the worst possible start to my days at UF.

if this is true let us know!!....i couldnt buy the tickets during the lottery but i think i can now.

Does anyone know when the T shirts (Pepsi promo link in the lottery winner letter) given out? When the student goes to pick up the ticket to the first game?

Tickets are picked up during the week prior to the game. Every week you have to pick up your tickets. Tickets that are not picked up by thursday are then offered to the student body for 10 each (same price as season ticket holders) - so you really dont get much for having season tickets - perhaps a shade less hassle.

As for the t-shirt thing - I really dont know - I won in the lottery, but I did not get the email as my gatorlink-email account was not yet setup.

We didn't "get" an email. I went onto the school website and clicked on webmail on the right side of the home page. Then you enter your user name and password and log in. The letter will be there (in your school email account) for you to click on and open.

i have redirected my UF email to my other email address and i checked both my aol email and my uf school email and i dont have any letters concerning whether or not i won the lottery. so if u didnt get a letter at all does that mean that i didnt get tickets or does that just mean that for some reason i havent gotten an email yet-either saying i got tickets or i didnt??? please help if u know the ans or if this happened to u and you found out whether or not u got tickets bc i am gonna be a freshman at uf next semester and i rly rly want tickets--also this 2nd lottery thing is interesting..i am guessing it is for all the tickets that become available after some people decide to attend another school in the fall. I also called someone a while ago at uf concerning the lottery and he said that last year everyone who wanted tickets eventually got them..so if that makes everyone feel any better then im glad bc im freaking out right now anyway. thanks everyone
hope to see u at school

You should get an email either way. You're not allowed to forward your email so that might be why you're having problems.

Anyone who did not get an email for whatever reason can go to http://my.ufl.edu and choose "Student Tickets" then "Gator Tickets" in the menu on the left-hand side. Sign in with your gatorlink username and student ID number and it will tell you if you got tickets or not.
