Is there any way of taking the SAT without having ID? My friend doesn't have one and January 26 is his last chance of taking the SAT since he's a senior in high school. What can he do?

NO ID, NO SAT

Your friend should call the CB to see if he has something they'll take.

He doesn't have a picture ID from his school? Or a passport?

If not, he can prepare a "school ID form." That's a little tricky but not too bad. Check out the College Board site:

SAT: Acceptable Photo ID

Basically, he needs to create a form that states his name, etc., and includes a photo of himself, and the school needs to put their seal on it. Then he needs to sign it and his counselor or principal needs to sign it. The site above gives a little more detail. If he wants to know more, he should check out the website above or call the College Board and ask about school ID forms.

There's no reason this situation should keep him from taking the SAT.

Thanks for the info, lotf. I'll make sure to show this to my friend right away. :)
