<p>I accidentally mixed up orientation dates, and only found out today that my orientation is on Monday-Tuesday. However, it looks like advising/registration is on the second day, and the first day consists of just having fun. </p>
<p>Would it be possible to miss the first day????</p>

<p>Call the Orientation office on Monday and discuss it with them. Maybe you can change your date or attend the first day of a different session before attending the second day of your own session. My son told me that on the first day, they explained in depth about how to register. I’m not sure what else they do on the first day that is critical.</p>

<p>I could reschedule the first day to a later date, but that sounds somewhat pointless.</p>
<p>If it is of any consequence, I already know which classes I want to take.</p>
<p>The first day explains everything about registering, all the gen ed requirements, academic policies, and everything about life at umd. It’s not just fun stuff, it’s important stuff too. See if you can reschedule your entire orientation. It’s a lot easier and more beneficial to have the same OA and group for both days.</p>
