<p>I am an incoming freshmen who will be doing the UROP program at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor for biomedical engineering. I was wondering if anyone here has been in this program and has anything to say about it. Is it a legitimate form of research that may be seen as an important factor in my resume for grad schools? Do you really do research one-on-one with a faculty member? Are you limited to the research topics they provide or can you suggest something else? Is it a huge commitment in terms of time?</p>
