us history sat ii

Any recommendations on good prep books for us history sat 2? im currently taking ush honors, it's not my best subject but i just want to take a stab at it. Looking to buy a book that has solid materials i could study from.

anyone? (10char)

Barron's is pretty good...it's over kill though (Very, very thick).

not really looking for "overkill" just want something light that could get me around a 700 or so. btw what time period does the sat cover up to? cuz i might be a bit behind (about to start imperialism) and i dont know if we could cover everything in time

the sparknotes book online is probably good enough for a review.

^ heh thx for the reminder i never remember to use sparknotes free online books lol. im still going to need a book though because my teacher told us to get one (she doesn't care which book)

bumppppppppp

Princeton Review Cracking the AP US History Exam and The American Pageant are good books to use.

I got a 720 on the subject test. Of course, I took the AP class, but I think getting help from your honors teacher should help.

hm so princeton review is a good book to use? also heard about rea/kaplan and stuff and more comments?

REA is a little bit too thick to use, but if you have the time to use it, the book will help.

I suggested Princeton Review because it's easy to read and helps you review everything in a timely manner.

Are you taking the subject tests in May?

I've only taken the US History subject test once, which was in May 2007, because I thought I would be adequately prepared for the subject because AP tests were taking place that month.

no im taking it in june im just looking for a book that covers the stuff i need to know and not go overboard too much
