USA June 2011 SAT: MATHEMATICS Discussion Thread

No, it was (4, 12). You have to go 8 upwards, as the center is (4, 4). (-12, 4) would be entirely out of the circle.

Oh thanks alot goldring!!

Uh, (4, 12)?

Incorrect!! ^

My grid in answers… someone say agree/disagree?

5.5

WRONG ANSWER FOR 16…I READ IT WRONG AHHH SO MAD AT MYSELF

EDIT: My graphing function of my calculator stopped working after section 1 of the math… ■■■ it keeps saying “Err: Invalid Dim” whenever I try to graph anything. Help?!

agreed bandwagon.

the answers for 16 can be 16, 17, 19, or 20.

Did it state that the center was (4,4)?
I dint remember that…

Anyone remember the question about five 1’s and five 2’s? Like how many ways are there to rearrange them when 1 does not come in between 2’s or something like that. I put six…

they defined point A as the center, at (4, 4).

@bandwagon

16 works, and there a bunch of others too

@confused93 I think it was 6 ways?

Also, I have 3x so far, if the trapezoid was not cannot determine. Ugh, what would 4x be?

@goldring2012 and dj04x7: I knew how to answer the question, except for some reason I read it so that after I eliminated 33 numbers from the multiples of 3, I somehow read/thought that I needed to eliminate 2 more numbers, so I put 50. ■■■

THE TRAPEZOID WAS 105. A TRAPEZOID IS DEFINED AS A QUADRILATERAL WITH ONLY ONE PAIR OF PARALLEL SIDES.

there, we have that cleaned up.

What was the question with answer 4?

that was the N + NK or KN + K = 2 one.

So, here’s to -1 being an 800!

even though im pretty sure i got em all right, still hoping for -1=800. never know what could happen on the SAT

I sincerely doubt that -1 will be an 800 since the section wasn’t particularly terrible. I am hoping for 780 though :)

Haha, I got -2 :frowning: Hopefully that’s around 760. I misread the triangle one (the one where everyone is debating over equilateral) and I got the (-4,4) (4,4) one wrong.

Triangle, I put none.
I have no idea what I put for the one with (x+blah)^blah, so it might be wrong.
Trapezoid I put cannot be determined.

16 on grid in, I read wrong.

MEHHHHH -4x
I want to go cry.
