USA June 2011 SAT: MATHEMATICS Discussion Thread

What would -7 questions be approx.?

around 660-680

can someone please post the land lease question, or atleast tell me if it was like the last question in a section, or anything of that sort

It had a graph of the amount of land leased over time from January to June, the total by June was 1224, and by March it was 700, and by April it was 822 or something like that, so it asked what percentage of the land was leased IN April, so the answer is 122/1224, which is 10%

It was the last question of a section

What do you think -16 on the raw score would be?

Someone told me the pen question was 1.7. He said it was a little more complex than just 3- the other average. Is that right???

No, he was over-analyzing it, it is 1.6

As every student has 3 writing utencils, the average amount of pens and pencils must add up to 3

do you know if the land lease was part of the 16 question or was it part of the exp. 2o q

I had the land lease question(answer was 10%, had the 1224 in June), and I had no experimental section. My test cover was pink and only had nine sections. It was not experimental.

if it is equilateral isnt it also isosceles?, all equilateral triangles are isosceles.

With the circle. A (-4,4) is the center, B is (4,4) an endpoint. Which point on the circle? (-4,-4), right?

Isn’t the the triangle within a triangle question 22.5?

no, 15
10char

Was there another question that had an answer of 22.5? I can’t remember if I put 15 or 22.5 for that question. I really hope I put 15.

Can anybody verify what the center of the circle was?

My reasoning (which may seem flawed b/c I do not remember the exact wording) was that the center was (-4,4) because CB usually lists points from left to right.
Thus, point a is the center (-4,4) and point b is (4,4),
Making (-12,4) the answer.
Although I could be completely wrong…

what would 5 blank and 2 or 3 wrong for math be?

On the May 2011 test, I got a 620 on the Math section. I omitted 7 and missed 6.

On this June test, if I omitted around 11 and missed 3, what would my score be?

(I had skipped 6 in one section and it was in section 8! I was doing so well until then. :()

i answered 3.3 for the grid-in slope question, is it true that you MUST bubble in 3.33? if that’s true i’ll be sooooo ****ed!

Does anyone have a compilation of questions and answers? Sadly I don’t have my answers memorized by #, but if I hear the question I’ll remember it.
