Oh snap, I remember going through all this

Oh glad to see WoT is still around. She will definitely be great help to all you going through the process. I am here as well to help anyone with general questions and any specific Marshall questions.

Oh and that Rose Bowl game was definitely sweet. I had very nice seats! I do hope Sanchez comes back, he played one hell of a game at that Rose Bowl!

Laguna, do you know if being able to pay full tuition helps your chances of being accepted to USC as a transfer student?

ill take it no one saw my question :(

I do not think that the ability to pay full tuition has any impact on the admissions process. I believe it's state somewhere on the app or on the website that that is the case.

zirc, USC loves strong upward trends. The former transfer counselor for my region said at one of the meetings that he's seen a student get admitted with a 2.8 GPA that resulted from low prior grades and a very strong upward trend. Take that with a grain of salt, as did I.

wow thats amazing
thanks a lot grey, its good to hear some relief

howd your fall semester go?

So far A+, B+, A... still waiting on one grade. Just waiting for my CC career to come to an end. ;)

im so dissapointed USC doesn't have spring admit :(

Hi, I'm told that as a transfer student wishing to apply to Annenberg, a 3.0 for your first semester (16 units) will guarantee admittance into Communications. Now...Journalism or PR - different story. Annenberg has the 2 "sub schools": Communications and Journalism (Broadcast & Print)/PR...you didn't specifically say which one you were trying to get into. Based on your goal, sounds like the Journalism school (Broadcast).

That was for Calichic...my previous reply.

So has anyone figured out a solution to the not being able to input grades and classes into the application? I've tried contacting USC but they are still on break and probably will not get back to me for some time.

well don't you have to send your transcripts?
so they'll be able to see them there, right?

Well they say they don't Zircushio - but I was admitted for Spring. You can't apply for it specifically, but they do push some Fall applicants off as Spring admits - which is me. Depending on your major and transfer status (fresh, soph, jr, etc.) it could present a problem.

W.O.T you may know the answer for this. Is the admission percentage for Annenberg lower than CLAS? I was admitted into CLAS as a 2nd choice (Annenberg was 1st) but plan on applying for change of major into Annenberg after my 1st successful :-) semester. My dream would be Journ/PR, but I would have to put in 3yrs there coming in as a Jr. and don't have the time or $, so applying for Communications. Do you know how Annenberg's Communications (not Journalism/PR) program ranks?

Marshall question:is it going to kill my chances if even with a high gpa and a good application amd essay I got a W in regular calculus in the fall but took business calculus in spring? That's what I plan on doing this spring. I am a sophomore transfer and I would appreciate any help and thoughts. Thank you very much.

hey so what are the pre-reqs or admission requirements for usc? the website's so difficult to understand. im applying for L&S. It seems like 2 english classes and one math class will do. but then they have the different categories. I.II.III. and V along with the diversity and language courses. anyone know?PLEASE HELP

I'm interested in applying, but I have a few questions about USC Marshall.

I've only taken 2 SAT Subject Tests and cannot take a third one. Am I still eligible to apply? On the application there is room for 3 tests. The website is not clear whether taking 3 tests are a requirement or optional.

The deadline for the application is February 2nd. However, the Marshall Supplement is due in March. Unfortunately, there is no way I can get my HS Transcript+Secondary School Report in by February 2nd. The earliest it could arrive is mid Feb. Am I still eligible to apply?

The website is very frustrating. Does USC require/request letters of recommendation? Dean's Report?

Thanks!

Also, does USC offer interviews for transfer students?

Thanks!
