Hey guys, I was wondering if there is a teacher recommendation form for USC? Though I know a recommendation is not required..

Also, does anyone have the url to that one website that shows past transferrable courses from out of state 4 year institutions? Thanks

any help with my questions guys?

mcguigs:

there is no form for recommendation

and the only site i can find for the articulation agreement is this:
USC ARR : Articulation
i can not find anything for out of state schools

hoped this helped

Hey everybody,

If I don't have my college writing prereqs done (in my current school, they're satisfied with my ap scores), will my application even be considered? I could take them over the summer at my local community college, but it isn't possible to take these courses at my school (UT Austin) at this moment. I'm applying as a freshman if that helps!

Thanks guys!

Thanks jocelyn. By the way, all you from out of state 4 year institutions, here is the unofficial articulation agreement from past history: https://camel.usc.edu/articagrmt/artic_hist_range.aspx.

Also, to what address are you guys sending your teacher recommendations? Thank you

I had problems mailing stuff in last year, apparently USC likes to lose things. Best course of action if you live close is to drop it off at the office by hand

shoot, is it true that even for transfer students applying to CLAS, I must send in my application by dec 1st? i saw the deadline in the supplementary materials page, and i'm confused with what they mean by "Baccalaureate/MD Program." much thanks for some clarification.

hey guys,
is it okay if my short answers exceed the word limit by a few paragraphs?
i'd appreciate any help.

Don't sound too long winded. They're simple questions, which require simple answers. Address bigger, more elaborate thoughts in the main essay.

If I check the box saying I've been convicted of a misdemeanor and it's for speeding tickets, do I need to say how many? The application just says if yes, please explain. Can I just say, "the only misdemeanor I've received was for a speeding ticket."

Typically speeding tickets are traffic violations, which is not the same as a misdemeanor. Unless you neglected to pay, of course.

someone help me out.
so im a noob to usc application, in the application site it asks for college and high school transcripts. But it doesn't specify when they want it by. So when is the deadline AND if they want my college transcripts now, why would they want it before spring is completed...??? I thought it was like UC when you send it in at the end...

Your transcripts should be sent in when your application is completed. If they're a little late it's not a big deal, but they will not review your application if they are missing.

so they want transcripts of completed work?, what about work completed this spring? do we send our transcripts again later?.

Yes, they want grades through fall. If you receive a spring grade request then they want to see your spring grades to help make the decision. Not everyone receives a spring grade request though.

Yeah and you can count on a spring grades request if your applying for sophomore standing

Hey hippo, I've seen you around these boards, which school are you applying for and what year?

So what grades do you have and stuff...

I'm applying for sophomore year...

GPA: 3.6
Major: Communications (Anneberg)
I got a letter of recommendation from my mass communications teacher, and I got a A in the class
Will have 30 credits by the end of the year
OCC

What do you guys have?

CLAS-English. Junior. Hopefully I'll have better results as a junior.
