KyoshoUSC- how many units have you taken exactly..because if it's more than 30 (and i'm assuming it is) your high school GPA and SAT scores don't really count for anything...your current GPA is kind of on the lower end..but you have some really good EC's and work experience. Did you get any letters from an academic source?? When I talked to a counselor they say they prefer those kinds to like work places and stuff because they want to see how we will excel in the class room.

travisR005-engineering people usually hear starting April. and from what i hear..it is pretty difficult to get into..but on the website it says:

"More than 20% of our undergraduate community transferred to USC from two or four year schools."

soo i'm not too sure and from the looks of it, you're one of the first engineering majors on here... which is odd..

thanks a lot. i havent had a single update on my account since january when i submitted the application so i had no idea about the timeline... so no one else is applying to engineering on here?

yeah i have way over 30 units haha. sadly i did not get any recs from a professor cause its hard to get to know them well enough for them to write a rec for you. but hopefully i can get in based on just letters of rec cause my GPA is on the low end =</p>

So.. when do decisions usually come out?? April-May??

alarasus,

Decisions usually come out late-May early-June.

What's everyone's current status? Mine updated 3/13.

Based on what I saw on the regular USC forum, some SCA applicants' status changed in the last few days.

Remember, it's too hard to extrapolate anything valuable and concrete from a status change. It's more of a "just wondering."

Mine last updated 2/11. I recall the timing was about the same last year. Shouldn't expect much until may.

i talked to a rep. from the admissions office to see why i hadn't gotten an update when people who sent their applications in after me already had and she said the updates are for people missing items from their applications..are you all missing anything?? mine hasn't updated since 1/06/09. =/ errggh.

I wouldn't worry about it aaam90.. i'm not missing anything and i got an update.

regardless, were prob all going to be getting out decisions around the same time. I remember last year when I applied for frosh admissions and EVERYONE stressed about it, but we all found out the same time anyways so I wouldn't look into it too much. Unless you get an update saying you're missing something
