I’m definitely saving alamemom’s response a few pages back. Good summary of the whole situation.
For HS you should put diploma demonstrating you graduated with a diploma. Under College they might not allow you to leave it blank so I would just write none, unless you’re receiving an Associates.

If you couldn’t find it under the “Documents” tab you can also call. That is what I did last year. I just called and gave them my name, and they supplied me with my ID number. I needed it because I had to fax my transcripts/LORs. You should use the number on anything you send to USC. It’ll expedite the process and give you more assurance that nothing gets lost.

Sydneyral- so uci ends in june, should I put 6/2011? Also if I switched high schools I do need to provide an explanation on why I left my first high school?

@CallofDuty84: Yeah. That’s what I did for my community college.

And I would explain why you switched, even if it’s just a generic thing like “family moved” or “looking for a more challenging education” or something.

Does anyone else have suspensions/expulsions on their record too?

Alright well I will do that then Sydneyral.

What’s everyones topic for their essay? Also, for the undergraduate GPA part… its on a 4.0 scale… meaning 3.3 B+ 3.0 B 3.7 a-, correct? so if a sophomore transfer got all B’s he or she would put 3.0 for that part?

They don’t. The course and grades section is not accessible. Your transcripts will cover both the courses and the grades for HS & College courses. There is a section where you list your current college courses that you are taking in the Winter/Spring.

does anyone know if the USC Global Scholars program will be cut soon? it says only students graduating in 2010 and up to august 2011 are eligible.

and transfers are allowed to apply to the discovery scholars program, right? (just making sure)

Are you sure you inputted the correct information when you started the application? I attached a link demonstrating you cannot access the “Course and Grades” section.

Hey guys. A friendly word of advise, and of course, just my opinion; You may choose to agree or disagree. But. Do not leave any fields blank, or any questions unanswered, unless there is absolutely no answer -which is pretty rare. We hear different things from different counselors/administrators; bottom line is, they are not the ones who are going to be reading these applications or granting you offers/rejections. Take the safe route and fill-out as much as you can. After all, less we forget, this is THE University of Southern California that you’re applying to. I like being confident in our abilities, but lets not be too confident and skip steps; it looks lazy.

With respect to the EC’s - it doesn’t even have to be anything related to school or work. All I see in a question like that is “how is this applicant going to contribute to the university and where does he/she fit in” They know what USC can do for you; the question is, what can you do for USC? That’s what I think is behind asking for EC’s, experience, etc… You’ve noticed that some of these questions get pretty personal.

The offer to become a Trojan is there, how much do you want it?

Im applying to USC for fall 2011 as a transfer student. By the end of the spring 2011 semester i should have 45 hours completed and a 3.6 gpa. I am applying as a Open (Still Deciding). What are my chances of getting in.
