USC admission revoke?

I got in USC today as a transfer. I wil be an entering junior at USC this fall. My cumm. gpa so far is 3.57. but this quarter (i attend University of Washington-Seattle), I think I will get a 2.1 in my calc class, but for my other two english classes, i am sure i will get over 3.7.

will my admission be revoked because of me almost failing my math class?

im worried....

I think it's your overall GPA that matters. So tally up your second semester GPA (not you cumm GPA) If it's over a 3.0 you should be fine. But if I were you I would call admissions and express your concern. If anything, it will show them that you care.

whats ur major?

my major is sociology

Hey! I'm also in a similar situation as you. I was admitted as a junior transfer for business, but i received a C- for biology this semester. im very worried now.

well, we cant really do anything about it now...:(
im taking one summer class and maybe that will up my gpa a little..

anyone else? anyone know aynthing about what to do in this circumstance/

If it's one class, I think you should be fine. Most schools won't revoke an admitted student unless he/she receives D's/F's in multiple classes. They may, however, send you a letter asking for an explanation as to why the grade is so low. As long as you have a decent reason you'll be alright. Also, in a situation like yours, most schools would be more likely to put the student on academic probation for the first semester than revoke.

is this a good reason (prolly not) ?

i would tell them that i only took calc b/c i applyed to ucla and they required it for my soc major...but math is not my forte so i did really bad :( ?

I think that would be fine. But I highly doubt it'll even come to that.
