USC Admissions Questions

I applied to USC by the Dec 1 deadline but I just got my USCID today. Do I have to do the student report SAT/AP scores even if I sent them through collegboard.com already? And if I sent my HS transcript to them, do I still need to send the Transcript Request Form for High School Records? And since this information will arrive after the Dec 1 scholarship deadline, am I excluded from scholarships? Because that would mean I cannot go there anyway and I don't need to be worrying about this.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer!

December 1 was the deadline for scholarship consideration; while it's good that you submitted your application by that date, it's no guarantee that you'll receive a scholarship, as the large number of highly qualified applicants makes competition a bit tough.

Yes. Although it seems redundant, USC wants to see your scores on 3 places: your application, your unofficial score report using Form 5 (SAT or ACT Student Report), and an official score report from the testing agency. It makes it faster for them to process your application.

I'm pretty sure you need to send the transcript with USC's Transcript Request Form, because it contains your USC ID and everything. That's what I did, at least.

As long as you sent in the application by the December 1 deadline, you qualify for scholarship consideration. However, USC still prefers the rest of your materials within a week or two after the deadline. Any later is kind of uncourteous - after all, they are offering you the scholarship, and they have thousands of others to consider for scholarships, too.

In any case, good luck~

Thanks for your answers, they were very helpful. One more question: I sent my transcripts about two weeks before completing/submitting my application. Do I have to resubmit? My school charges me and I'm not exactly flush with cash.

Good luck to you, too!

The transcript is probably in your file. If you have a common name, and didn't indicate your SSN on it, it might be an idea to call them just to make sure they've got it with your material. Might be wise to call anyway to inquire if they do need another copy with the appropriate form. (310) 740 1111.

i had the same issue. all i did was claim my grades/scores and i sent my scores through college board and my official grade transcript after the dec 1 deadline

its not a big deal
as long as u submitted ur app by dec 1 u should be fine. they'll tell u ur missing stuff and then u send it in and everythign will be fine

Ugh I hate paperwork. Thanks though!

does anyone know the exact address I can send my transcripts and other documents to? I’m not sure which mailing address am I supposed to use. Thanks.
