I got denied ;(
It’s kind of hypocritical where in the original decision they said “you coming to USC in the future highly interests us” yet they still won’t accept our appeals ;(
Would anyone happen to know the percentage accepted to USC through TTP next year?
So I got some sort of a ‘transfer planning’ thing in my rejection but is it the Transfer Trojan Plan? Cuz apparently TTP is guaranteed admission but in the links I followed it said that its a path to admission not a guarentee if i go abroad to study. The words “trojan transfer plan” are not in my email but theres this big section on transferring in general… However the links I followed said “Congratulations for getting into the USC Trojan Transfer Program”… I’m so sad and confused
TTP is not guaranteed, never has been. It is “highly likely” or “high degree of certainty” if you follow the guidelines and get the grades." You meet with a counselor and have access to them during your fall. But USC leaves themselves an out. No promise.
(There is, however, something VERY few kids get in their March rejection letters, that is not referred to as TTP but IS called “a guaranteed path to admission” a year later, if you meet certain conditions. I have only known a couple students offered this and I don’t know what it’s offiically called.)
I think TTP is “highly predictable” and not guaranteed in that, basically, maintain your grades and you’ll get in. Don’t treat it like you’ve already gotten into USC (thus maintaining your grades). If you do what they say, I’d say it’s pretty much 100%, either fall or spring admit.
Did everyone rejected get TTP? Just wondering if they give it everyone.
I had TTP before
I got denied. I also applied through the Questbridge college match, so this is basically being rejected for the third time in a row.
It says they “urge” me to apply as a transfer next year, but really why deny me three times and think I would change any different next year? sigh…
@srivapau Hi, I applied to Roski as well but got denied and denied again after my appeal. Do you have a portfolio online? Deviantart or something? It would be great to look at someone who got in.
@AsianFilmmaker were you offered the Trojan transfer program
I don’t have deviantart or an online portfolio but I post some of my work to instagram if you would like to see! ig: @psri08 feel free to message me through there too!
Thank youuu!
I am also curious if everyone who got a denial of appeal was encouraged to transfer and given the link that makes it sound like the TTP, but it’s not exactly clear that it is the actual TTP.
On all rejections they say they encourage to transfer. TTP is different
This might be a dumb question but suppose I transfer from college X. The transferable courses I receive grades in, are they transferred into my USC GPA or do I just start fresh at USC
@uclauscla Bro, let it go.
@uclauscla I got the TTP thing yeah. But I heard financial aid’s not that great and if I go to Paris for a year and try to transfer and get denied again, what’s the point for me lol…
@uclauscla My sister’s friend, who went to USC from TTP, had barely (if any) of her credits transferred through. But I think you should talk to the USC people during the TTP meeting.
@notsohappygirl @AsianFilmmaker that’s the thing I’m afraid of, like if I don’t get accepted, I’m going to have to stay in AU Paris for more than a year… Or come back and go to community college.
Also I’m not sure if I should go to a 4 year college or might as well go to a community college because TTP doesn’t matter which one u go to. Yet I don’t want to stay in community college when I got accepted to decent places like GW Boston UCSD, etc. I’m not sure what to do???
