yeah you should probably call just to make sure they go it. but the website just might not be updated.

I submitted the FAFSA 1/6; the CSS around a week or so later. My D had received an acceptance from another school and we had to set up her FA application with that school and even theirs said they hadnāt received the FAFSA.

Iām goin to call both FA offices (and her #1 choice also) and see.

As for that āExploreā tab, after reading what it is, I know my D will not get that. Her scores are nowhere near the top 1-2% (or whatever it is).

Good luck!

** I forgot to put the last 3 in my application also there was a situation my junior year that didnāt allow me to take certain classesā¦ Do you think that thereās a way that I can call them an ask them to enter that information?

Oh I also forgot my subject test us History 500 and Math 2 510ā¦ I couldāve done better but I hadnāt taken these classes since the 7th grade.
More activities are that Iām a manager of a clothing line and I was an office assistant for a computer service company

- And I donāt really want to put my income but its enough to get the full pell grant and stafford loan amounts.

I think you have a pretty good shot! You have a great gpa and strong extra ciric. Ur sat is a little low, but they look at everyone holistically so I would say you have a pretty good shot prob 50-75 percent chance. good luck!

Thank you, I really appreciate your response

Glad to hear that the lack of Explore USC on the website is not an issue! When do you guys think weāll hear? Iām not expecting anything but I just want to know, haha - and Iām waiting on Alabama programs and Emory Scholars as well! The wait is killing me.

i only applied to three schools. I was admitted to one in August and then into the honors program in Dec., then thereās one that I definitely wonāt know about until March, and then thereās USC. I care most about USC and this wait is soooo dreadful ;( this website isnāt helping. Iām becoming so obsessed, logging on several times a day. What do you guys do to sort of let it go and LIVE YOUR LIVES??? It just sucks when I donāt have tons of decisions rolling in to hold me over, ya know? haha

I just try to forget about it lol. Some I literally forgot about, like Oxford Scholars at Emory, until I got the email telling me that decisions were up (that one was good news, thankfully!). Or I distract myself with TV, homework, my social life, or speech and debate. Itās hard, though! But April 1st will be here before we know it. :)

Iāve always wanted to have one of those moments, like in the movies, where you open up the envelope and have to unfold the paper to read the decision. So I think Iām going to abstain from checking USConnect for the next few weeks at least, haha.

Haha WELL it wasnāt in the mail; it was on my iPhone - but it was still a cool moment! I was at a debate tournament, actually, and expecting rejection 100% as I opened the decision letter, but lo and behold! I was so happy, especially after a deferral from Princeton had gotten me down. I actually ended up getting 1st in my debate and in one of my events, and 3rd in the other, plus winning individual sweepstakes, so it was a great day ^.^ Hope you all have days like that sometime between now and April 1 :D

well i dont know if this helps but last year people found our around the 28th I think. SO just keep telling yourself that itās not there and your just wasting your time by constantly logging in.

Silverwing,

Are you referring to your Emory notification?

It might be a good idea to let your admissions counselor know about these new debate honors.

As a couple of us have mentioned, our FAFSA is not showing up at USC (saying it is a required document that is missing) even though it was submitted first week of January and USC was on the list of schools. We did submit CSS which is on there. Will this hold up any scholarship processing? Does an email to admissions suffice or should we call?

@GeorgiaGirl: yes, Iām referring to my Oxford Scholars app. And the debate honors arenāt a big deal lol, itās just a local tournament - theyāre already aware of state/national level debate awards.

Congrats Missxsilverwing!

Omgā¦I log onto this forum so muchā¦haha In a week we will all know! And then if we arenāt one of the scholarship recipientsā¦the wait continues on this forumā¦ahhh!

^I know right? Iām soooo anxious! :D

guysā¦usc is the only thing on my mind, all the time

@CADREAM-- Merit scholarships are not dependent on FAFSA/CSS. Those are for financial aid purposes.

@camomof3, Thank you, makes sense. Iām thinking itās just a lag time between systems as well.
