Does anyone not have the “sent”?

I don’t see a Explore USC option under Events. I only see Meet USC and Campus Walking Tour.

^^ same. Would that mean that I didn’t get a scholarship? Or just that it’s not up yet? I’m on the east coast, so maybe it’ll come up later? I don’t know.

I also only have Meet USC and Campus Walking Tour, no Explore USC.

I still have to call the office to see if I can still get a USConnect portal. :P

I stand corrected- one says “Meet USC” the other is the Walking Tour. Like I said, we never looked under those tabs before to know if they were there.

Yolokid123- I hope we both get in, too!!

Does anyone know if we get the letters this week??

MomTheChauffer- I think those two events have always been there (I have the same thing) and the “sent” status has been there for at least two weeks so I think that just means our applications were sent (not necessarily their decision letters). Hopefully we find out soon for sure though!!

I hope so! My older brother goes to USC (he’s in his 3rd undergrad year now) and he got the Presidential scholarship, and I know he found out at the end of January, but he told me that he found out from the website before he got the letter in the mail.

Wait, so your brother said he found out on the website first?
What will the site show?

did the admission status change from “sent” to something else??

I am a little confused my application status says
"You can track the status of your application here. Check back periodically to see any new information that is requested. Please be aware that all final admission decisions are sent via postal mail.

We have received your Common Application and USC Supplement, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of March, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify freshmen by April 1st. We often like to see the mid-year grades of freshman applicants. If you have not already done so, please submit your final, fall term marks when they become available. Submit a Mid Year Report school form, or click “Mid-Year Grades” in USConnect. Sometimes, in the course of our review of applications, we find that we need additional information. In such cases we will mail a written request. If you receive a request for more information, please respond promptly."

I applied before December 1st. What does this mean?

^It doesn’t mean anything important. Everyone who has a complete application has that for right now.

sp003584- he said that he found out from a thread on here that other people were able to log onto their USConnect account and see if they got it because there was a certain page they could go to if they got a scholarship. I’m assuming it’s the “Explore USC” thing that other people were saying earlier in the thread

oh ok thanks piedpilko! So does everyone who applied before dec 1st receive their acceptance letter by End of january early feb?

thanks Tess1994!

I heard that everyone gets notified. I believe you either get an acceptance or something saying you are still being considered.

No Explore USC…assuming that means I didn’t get an interview (I guess I still could, but I’m guessing not). But I’m an NMF, so if I get in I have half-tuition already.

Congratulations to anyone who has Explore USC under events good luck at interviews!!!

Everyone is looking into the log in website way too much. Just because you don’t have a certain tab under events and someone else does doesn’t mean anything. The sent message on USC connect means that your application was submitted. USC notifies people by snail mail if y’all haven’t already heard.

Two or three years ago a technically advanced senior was able to discover a “trick” to find out if he had been included on a reservation list for EXPLORE USC. IF invited at the time meant a student had been admitted. He posted how to do this and many were able to discover the “trick”. Within a short time the admissions committee found out this had happened and changed the computer program. They are very careful to prevent this happening again.

The only way to find out if an admission packet is coming is to wait for the letter carrier. International students must wait for notification stating a package is being sent to them from Los Angeles.

The campus is closed on Monday for Martin Luther King holiday, January 21, 2013.

On our app status we have the same issue as another poster. It says they have CSS but not FAFSA and we submitted it 1/3. Do we need to call about this?
