USC Class of 2017 Applicants!

I’m also from Massachusetts and was able to visit. I’m a little worried about how different SoCal is from the New England vibe but it was a beautiful campus – no use fussing over it until I get a letter one way or the other!
I also saw a lot of out of state kids on my tour, so it’s nice to know there are people applying from all over.

USC draws students from across the nation and abroad. In the freshmen class 51% were from California and 49% were from outside the state. Of the 49%, 37% were from states across the country and 12% were international. The freshmen class represented 1, 476 different high schools.

After CA the most represented states are:

Texas
New York
Illinois
New Jersey
Washington

Happy New Year Everyone!!! Best of luck for the rest of all your apps :)

I applied as a biology/Spanish double major with a political science minor and premed emphasis! (Officially as bio but I met my app. reader at school and it’s all over my app haha). GOOD LUCK EVERYONE  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

HAPPY NEW YEAR  Here’s to hoping we all get our acceptance letters in 3 months!

Happy New Years everybody! I hope we all hear good news in the upcoming weeks/months!

Happy new year and good luck everyone!

Happy new years everyone :). Im applying for Roski School of Fine Arts. Im really excited and I hope we all get our acceptance letters soon! I sent in my app on Halloween so I hope they notify me really really soon :)

I submitted my app in September (Quest Bridge app) and I really hope I get a merit scholarship despite my low test scores. I don’t I’ll be able to focus in schools for the next few weeks. lol ;)

I am also a Questbridge applicant and USC is one of my top choices. I hope all of us make it in!

^ USC was actually my only ranked college. lol
Anyways, I hope we all get in as well! :D

I applied for CSBA too. Good luck! Hopefully I’ll see you in class next year! haha

@sp003584 Yea I interviewed. Wasn’t as nerve-racking as I thought it would be.

I went on an interview as well; however, I’m not sure if it helps that much…

I’ve also applied for Broadcast Journalism at Annenberg. Fingers crossed… reallly reallllllllly tightly hahaha

I also went on an interview! I felt like it kind of helped…my interviewer seemed like he really wanted to see me succeed. And yesterday USC Dornsife followed me on twitter woop woop

I applied before the scholarship deadline for the Annenberg school of Journalism! I know we hear back in early feb for trustee, mork, presidential, etc.
I got a 34 ACT, but didn’t take the SAT, and have a 4.06 UW GPA (4.7 weighted). Let me know what you think!

4.06 uw gpa?!

Sarah,

Students selected to interview for the Stamps, Mork, Trustee and Presidential Scholarships have been notified in mid to late January in past years. Interviews have taken place in February for these highly competitive scholarships.

Sometimes the admissions committee changes dates and we do not receive the news until later. We shall have to be patient and wait until the first student notifies us of his/her letter of admission.

Hey for anyone that did an interview, just curious as to whether or not you felt it improved your chances. I submitted my app before 12/1 and I’m so happy to have this thread. Hopefully we will all get to be part of USC class of 2017!
