@Ballerina016 Wait so a NMSF received an acceptance package today?
You can be NMSF and get a scholarship offer. The automatic NMF scholarship and the scholarships in this round are not the same thing.
@Abwee67 thanks for your kind words! But lol nah, I’m not getting into USC and I’ve kinda accepted it. I’m gonna log off for a while, time to study for midterms! Good luck everyone!
@pterosprite @Abwee67 Yeah, I should really log off too… I have a research paper on name psychology due tomorrow and it’s making my brain hurt…I’ll log back on if I get some good news over the next few days…
@peterosprite Thanks! I really hope people put up their stats soon.
On last year’s stats only thread, some people said that they received their letter on a Sunday. Could that be a mistake? Or, because the acceptance letter apparently is like a package, was it shipped with priority and therefore able to be delivered on a Sunday?
So if MyUSPS doesnr show anything
that means i didnt get anything?
Since the package is a priority package?
@Abwee67 I don’t actually know if it’s priority, but if it’s true that some people last year received their letters on a Sunday, it would have to be.
Does anyone know for sure if myusps even shows it
I heard people mention it but ive never seen anyone claim they saw the package on myusps
What’s the tracking package number that we put in the USPS website to see if we have packages coming in?
Nvm I checked last years thread
People said there was no notification on usps, but they still recieved letters
So its useless
Is USPS open on Sunday? Can people get packages now?
@ClassOf2020x NMSF can get in this round also, but only if they are considered for Presidential or Trustee’s scholarship. If not, they will receive notifications in March. If they get in, they are guaranteed 1/2 tuition off.
In SoCal one hour away from USC and only got a general mail talking about how I should apply for financial aid. Nothing about scholarships or acceptances sigh.
Congratulations to those who got their packages today!
Our DD (NMSF) applied several years ago for early scholarship consideration. She received a letter in January saying she was not being considered for the scholarships requiring an interview. In March, she received her acceptance to USC, and as a NMSF, was offered a 1/2 tuition NMSF Presidential Scholarship. (She ended up enrolling somewhere else.)
So - if you are a NMSF, and don’t receive a scholarship letter now, that does not mean you won’t get accepted, or that you won’t get a NMSF scholarship if you are accepted.
USC does not guarantee admission to NMSF applicants - but if you are a NMSF, and you are admitted, you should receive the scholarship.
Just to keep it real, less than one thousand will get something in the mail this week. About TWENTY THOUSAND people that applied by Dec 1 will not get a package in this early round, so you are not alone out there. Monday and Tuesday there will be lots more delivered. We have mail service on Sunday because we are highly populated area, but most areas do not. So shut down for today and focus on something else for now.
For those invited to interview, congrats! The Explore USC portal to register for interviews should open anytime this week.
when do you think florida will receive the mail by? thursday or friday maybe? or not until next week you think
also has anyone seen the package incoming on their my usps?
@syd0898 Yeah, probably between Thursday-Friday. I live in norcal and it seems as if people from norcal get it on Monday or Tuesday, so I’d expect Florida to get it late next week-ish.
You can find an estimate of how long it will take for your package to arrive here:
https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/
USC’s zip code is 90089.
Thanks!! That’s really helpful! @happywaterbottle
