@pterosprite USC has said over and over that decisions are getting mailed on the 23rd and will be on the portal on the 26th haha.
@ClassOf2020x we know, but that won’t stop any of us from speculating endlessly about alternative scenarios.
The obsession is real.
Hey! Any applicants here from the WBB program?
Omg I had the most vivid dream that I was accepted too! Probably the closest I’ll ever get to being accepted hahah ahhhhhh
Just to clarify-- everyone gets asked for verification of tax information and more financial aid info?
Guys I’ve been sleeping on my Traveler pillow pet all week for good luck…I’m freaking out.
@40yearoldvirgin Did you just get asked for verification of tax info and more FA?
@SC5ive I did not get asked recently, more like the end of Feb. I just saw some other post about it and thought i’d ask here. This waiting game is killing me haha!
Oh my god. USC is the only thing I can think about right now. I know admission decisions will be mailed on Wednesday, but I can’t help think it will be mailed as early as Monday or Tuesday. Ahhhhhhh!!
@40yearoldvirgin Yes most ppl get asked but not everyone has to reply - USC seems to require more FA info to help decide what an accepted student will be able to pay or if they need assistance - everyone has different circumstances
@40yearoldvirgin i got asked for more tax information too. they want my parents 2015 taxes.
is there generally overlap in acceptances/rejection between USC and UCLA? Is USC more or less holistic? Do a lot of people who apply to both get into UCLA and then get rejected from USC or vice versa?
yeah i was wondering that too! I’ve been waitlisted at UCLA and am praying to be admitted to USC. The suspense is too strong
My S was asked for our tax info(returns) and when I called to see if they needed anything else they said a copy of my older son FA from his school… My S was accepted at other schools with FA and only USC and Emerson (EA)have asked for these documents… Any SDA get the invitation for SDA open house yet? We got “save the date” in Jan after my S interviews for the BA program. I noticed on the SDA Instagram the open house invite is on there with a link to RSVP, so I wonder if it’s open to everyone or they are saving trees this year with just a postcard …Thoughts ?
@pterosprite USC tends to be more hollistic, but I can’t be sure about UCLA/USC admission
@Usccurious I know in past years they sent an early save the date card around January, and then sent a postcard in an envelope that I believe outright said invitation to the open house rather than just “save the date.” From reading older posts and contacting people who were in our shoes last year, the 2nd postcard to arrive is a good sign that you have been accepted in USC SDA-- if they are doing it this year, or when it will arrive I have no idea. Should be a week before decisions are out so keep a check on the mailbox!
Regarding the new FA requests, the first one was online, does anyone else’s allow them to upload documents or do you have to email them?
Generally speaking, USC is more holistic, people with lower scores have more likelihood of getting into USC because of the draw of something else in the app. The way it was described to me is people with lower scores are often pulled out in a first cut at UCLA before that great essay may have a chance to make a difference. This also depends on which major/school you are applying to so there are a lot of “ifs” in analyzing this.
Ok, so what documents have you all been asked for for FA? Do you think if they requested more information you may have gotten in? I hope I’m not going crazy haha… I have 7 things in the received list…
I’ve been rejected from UC Davis, UCLA, UCSD and Boston U…is there a chance at USC? It’s my dream school
