*******USC Class of 2020 Results/Discussion Thread**********

@mikesut21 USC says they will mail the letters on Wednesday, which means people will recieve the letter the days after Wednesday. However, some believe that USC might mail the letters on Tuesday so that we will recieve it on Wednesday. But anyways, it doesn’t hurt to check the mail early!

thx

There’s really no point in chancing at this point! It’s all done and it doesn’t matter what we say anyway, it matters what they think. You know yourself and your accomplishments better anyway, so hopefully you got your message through in the essays which is something we can’t see on this forum. Good luck!!

So what do your guys portals look like right now?

@filmdreamer23 mine has been the same as it was this whole entire time and idk what that means haha

Anyone apply to thornton for music industry here?

@filmdreamer23 mines the same too. haha it’s never changed at least that I know of

For anyone still wondering if they have a chance (even though it’s a bit too late), here is the first-year profile for the class of 2019 admits:

How much do you think being URM helps? I have Native American URM status, and a first generation to go to college, do you think that will help? Omg this wait is literally killing me

Guys, I think they’re actually going to keep the date! :-<

First generation is like 400 points of SAT and. 0.5pts of GPA. (kidding of course, but it Really helps.) URA almost the same.

Why do you think that?

They haven’t updated anything. I don’t know, I guess I’m just really nervous. (2 days to get to me) Maybe they won’t and we’ll be blessed to see the pictures of our packets on the fb page tomorrow!

I am such a nervous wreck

same

@bellee i had to lower my daughter’s hopes recently. She more than technically qualifies, but so many people now apply to USC that it gets more than double the applications it did just a few years ago–just as other California private colleges-- because the public colleges are overloaded. So, that’s a negative. It’s good you are not from California (USC wants to be a global university), but Arizona may not be quite far enough or exotic enough (Wyoming would be better, in other words). Marshall is extremely difficult (like Stern at NYU) and being Asian won’t help you (it may not hurt you–about 30% of the students are already Asian at USC). We are from California and 21 from my daughter’s class of 85 kids have applied to USC, so throw that negative in with the 17/18% acceptance rate, and it’s all very difficult.

Admissions just posted a photo!!! “We’re stuffing boxes with admit letters! They should be on doorsteps soon.” Ah!

send help

LOL i find it so funny that colleges don’t even acknowledge that along with sending admit decisions and making dreams come true, they also send rejection letters and ruin someone’s day :)) :((

I am not prepared for this rejection.
