Does anyone have the package on theirs? Nothing on mine.
OMG sorry guys if I created a monster with this boxes thing. But anyway I guess it gives us something to do while we’re waiting.
It isnt trackable
Isn’t it crazy how the decisions have already been made and we’re all sitting here waiting for our future to arrive in our mailboxes. In a few days, maybe even tomorrow, many lives will change
@vimyle I know I keep thinking that too! Our fates are already decided!
Not trackable that doesn’t help us know what’s going on - maybe my bro will see the mail guy coming out of the admissions office with those big boxes today I’ll ask him to look after his classes are over
So wait, based on the Twitter and Facebook posts yesterday, is there a chance that the packets were mailed out yesterday and could start arriving today in LA and Orange County?
@djbajablast omg I’m not ready for this
Good luck everybody!!
It’s windy in the San Fernando Valley today. Low key hoping that an admit letter floats away from the rest of them and gently lands outside my front door.
@choirsandstages @vimyle and all
It is not a package, it will be a large gold envelope with a packet inside - a beautiful red folder with all the good stuff. The white box was for scholarship recipients. The boxes they are stuffing are the big white mailing bins for the post office to pick up.
NOT TRACKABLE
I still say that are going out today.
One more time for those that are later to this party…
ACCEPTANCE PACKAGES/REJECTION LETTERS
If they get out today as I believe they are, even if it is end of day, they will start arriving in socal on Wednesday, March 23, then everywhere else Thursday the 24th, and Friday, the 25th, and portal will be updated at 12:10 am on the 25th (late Thursday night, early Friday morning). They were already loading the mailing bins yesterday, that is a really quick process, so no reason to think they aren’t out the door today.
They mail rejections and acceptances at the same time. However, large colorful acceptance envelopes are sent priority mail (faster), while rejections are thin white letter size envelopes sent regular first class mail (slower), and start arriving a day after acceptances. Rejections would start arriving a day after acceptances arrive by area.
PER THE POST OFFICE, THEY ARE REALLY ACCEPTANCES sent in BIG ENVELOPES, NOT A PACKAGE:
Acceptances are sent in a large colorful envelope (has always been gold/yellow) that is NOT trackable, via USPS. (United States Post Office, not UPS). It is NOT considered a package. It is just a large envelope for mailing purposes.
PORTAL UPDATE: Friday the 25th, just after midnight (helpful for those with slow mail).
The portal changes to look like this:

INTERNATIONAL:
Packets go DHL and typically take 3-4 days to central Europe as a frame of reference, rejections letters can take up to two weeks (International only) cause they are sent regular mail. Portal updates long before the rejection letters arrive internationally. Sometimes it seems they get international envelopes out to DHL a day early because I see some internationals posting they get a package in those first couple days as well, but can’t confirm that, just a guess. Do not know about ability to track DHL - not sure if that is option they offer.
Disclaimer -they usually do it the same year after year, this is just what I know having been through it several times in recent years. If anything changes, CC will be all over it.
Viterbi Admission just reposted the boxes picture on Instagram with the caption “here they come”. Should we assume they’ve been sent?
Yes
Thank you for these updates, but its probably best to go off what USC has claimed (mailed tomorrow, portal updated Saturday) so no one gets their hopes up.
If anybody hears of people receiving their packets, please post here!

I keep checking the FB and twitter to see if it’s posted yet but it’s not even lunch time on the west coast yet like I need to chill
@imvegetarian2016 HAHAHAHAHA exactly how it feels right now!!! Horrible spring break just waiting for the mail going with @CADREAMIN and @chukrook who have the guts to predict it’s happenin now on those trucks headed to us like santa on xmas eve
I live in SoCal (about an hour away from USC) and my mail just came with no admit letter or rejection letter. So if they’ve been sent out today, then we’ll probably get them tomorrow!!!
@SC5ive but are the trucks filled with presents or coal???
