no social media post of USC mailing out letters today and since they usually post before 5 pm… I guess we all have to wait another day :((
Got accepted to all UC’s that have come out so far for engineering except for UCLA and UCSB. Not feelin so hot rn
@pterosprite Same.
So USC and Cal are set to release in pretty much the same time frame; two of the top school in CA just harmlessly releasing children’s fates
What time is USC?
@harvard2020babe USC hasn’t posted a specific time but last year was 12am on Friday. But it might be different this year.
@harvard2020babe
they first send out acceptance/rejection letters by mail (they should be sent out tomorrow) and update the admission status on the portal 3 days after they’ve sent out the letters (i’m not too sure, but i believe it’s usually updated in the morning). As for the time, i guess it depends on where you live and what time your mailman comes!
Good luck everyone!
Really wish colleges were more humane about how they do things. They really seem to be so harsh on us haha. Like where’s your compassion, this is our future.
^ AGREED! Especially this week. But in general, March just seems to be national Break Your Applicant’s Heart month. Let me down gently tho, I’m not ready to be turned down so much so quickly. It’s humbling to say the least
Do decisions come out March 25th or March 26th?
When do you guys think the mail would get to NYC?
@cooljon525 officially, they come out the 26th-- usually they come out a day early, along with letters coming a day early, but USC seems to be changing things up this year (probably due to the overwhelming number of applicants). Since they usually give you 3 days between mailing date and portal updates, I’d expect the 26th, almost with certainty. But if you’re an optimist like I am, I wouldn’t totally rule out 25th.
This is gonna sound weird but could someone like, post the contents of a rejection letter/email they’ve received from a college? I just want to be prepared and not cry as I read the letdown from USC…
Do you guys think there is a “backdoor” method to see if you got in? I know there was a few years ago.
@pterosprite I was rejected from USC last year and the letter started by saying how competitive the applicant pool was and they thanked me for applying but sadly they did not have enough room to accept every exceptional student. The end of the letter offered me the trojan transfer plan which allowed me to meet with a counsellor there last summer and plan my schedule at my current college to make me an ideal transfer candidate. So I’m going through this process again and awaiting a decision Best of luck to you! try not to be too nervous, everything happens for a reason
I just want to know already! I got waitlisted at UCSB, things aren’t looking too good.
Procrastinating as I type this comment, but I thought I would join this dicussion. I have been preparing myself for weeks for this rejection, but hey miracles can happen. Also my SAT/ACT scores are way below average of accpetance. However, good luck to you all! I feel like I am waiting for this decison only to get a rejection.
@SasukeKun525 NYC should be Friday (I’m from NJ)
@filmdreamer23 what method was that?
Have you guys checked out the myusc website? It’s like the YouSC website, but a little different. I’m trying to see if I can find anything there to see if I was accepted. lol!
