USC Class of 2027 — Regular & Early Action Decisions

where does it show that- mine looks the same and I didn’t bother changing anything

Same.

There had been a statement under the mailing info that would allow applicants to change their EA application to RD-- this line no longer appears. This is likely just preparation for the admissions decisions-- too late to change to RD if anyone had wanted to.

Is anyone else getting the below error message when clicking on the FAST link?

My FAST link still works.

NMF is a separate process from this merit, but does fall under the Presidential category of merit. (1/2 tuition)

Still works just error loading fast schedule or whatever it’s called

Apologies if this has been asked and answered but anyone know if SCA (film production) applicants will also hear something tomorrow? Application was due at same time as EA but EA wasn’t an option for this major.

So it is possible for someone to be deferred, get accepted in RD and also get the scholarship for being NMF. Thanks!

Absolutely. 200 Presidentials are given out in merit round, they are separate from the straight up NMF in March. There are usually around 150 NMFs that are accepted in March that also get the 1/2 tuition presidential. The benefit of being an NMF that also gets the Presidential merit in February is that you are guaranteed to get your half (an maybe bumped to Trustee) after the interview, but you can’t get bumped down as the NMF guarantees the 1/2 tuition.

Per USC:
The School of Cinematic Arts is not participating in early action. In order to apply to one of our six divisions you must first select your Preferred admission plan on the Common Application to Regular Decision.

do you know if your financial aid gets delayed- can you still be considered for merit scholarships, or at that point would they only give need-based aid? (i know mine is going to be delayed bc i haven’t sent something in that I need to get done- and i’m only asking if they by some miracle accept me, which isn’t happening)

so the 600 out of 900 invitees for top scholarship may end up with nothing after the interview, is this correct?

Merit aid is completely independent of financial aid (need)

I understand that- I’m just wondering if they’d still consider me for any merit aid since my financial aid would be delayed.

No. As stated above, EA is not an option for SCA. The SCA Admissions webpage says: Application Deadline: December 1st and Admission Notification Date: By April 1st. But merit is still possible for those eventually admitted.
