Is this interview thing only for the school of music or other schools as well? I haven't been asked.... =(

j3nnyyx3-I haven't been asked either, I'm a Business major. What's your major?

normally transfers dont get interviews. They just gave me a call, asking if i could talk to them. Im not a music major.

what the heckk... i never got a call or anything.
USC24- i applied to marshall as my first choice and econ as my second.

i hope this isnt a bad sign... =(

Then again most of the transfers don't typically get asked to interview so don't freak out, everybody else who wasn't asked.

DJS3CA- what's your major? if you don't mind me asking...

SPPD Real Estate Development

maybe it's a professional school thing? then again i did apply to SOT as my second and i haven't heard anything. who knows.

Hey mmck55, no I haven't heard back from USC/Viterbi yet =/. April 1st is in like 3 days, and I'm assuming we won't have any decisions for at least a few more weeks since there so backed up. I was accepted into Miami, but I would choose USC over Miami in a heartbeat.

RelientK.. yeah April is acomin'! I'm excited for anyone to get their decisions =) Good luck!

Thanks Woman.Of.Troy, I hope we get them soon like ASAP, because the wait is killing me. First I was expecting us engineers to have our decisions by April 1, but I recently found out that would not be the case. We should know soon though... GL to everyone.

Here Is A Big Question:

Who Is Worried About Tuition And Other Fees?
What Pay Methods Are You Planning To Use?
Why Is Usc Still Worth The Money?

Everyone Please Respond!

Thanks

It's really weird for the architecture students, the website says We find out in June, but others says in April...oh the confusion.

how important for high school transcrip
USC asked me to fax my high school transcrip, but I graduated in china, so I don't have my high school transcrip now

i want my positive decision badly!~!~!~!

DJ:
Not worried about money
Parents
Yes, part of the reason I applied.

DJS3CA-

Who Is Worried About Tuition And Other Fees?
-worried.ish. My EFC is low. I believe that I shouldn't HAVE to pay bc I'm awesome. jk. So long as the debt is reasonable for me, I would NEVER ask my parents to pay for ALL of my education, they need to have money for their retirement, though they've offered to pay I told them we've settled on them paying the EFC.
It's a cultural thing for me. I can't really envision having debt in the tens of thousands yet. We'll see once decisions and fin aid packages are out.
:/

What Pay Methods Are You Planning To Use?
Sponsors. Scholarships I've won. work during summer. I also have an internship for then in a new school in the LAUSD that starts in mid summer and goes throughout next year. I'm sure it'll be low paying but it's interesting work and relates to my major. Honestly, if my loans are less than 10k I should be good.

Why Is Usc Still Worth The Money?
I don't understand your question why is USC worth the money... Depends on whether it's your first choice. Right now, it sucks to be "well-to-do" or middle class bc those applicants have to pay most of their way. =/

I'm also outraged at the fact that UC's budget cuts will mean I won't potentially get as much aid for going to a UC school if I end up in my backup. USC is the only school to me worth any money. Protest, Protest!!!
As you can tell, I'll be p-o'd if I don't get in. But both of the schools I applied to are reputable... so until then.... :X

What about you DJS3CA?

Upper Middle Class - I'm pretty much ****ed

Yeah hopefully it'll work out. Look around, I'm sure you know someone who can get you an internship or job or something. I didn't think i had a chance in heck financially but a lot of things just kind of came together. I hinted to some people that i'll be in trouble next year and what a shame considering it's my #1 and it worked lol. and it's true, soo... anyway...

yea i'm on the same boat as you DJS3CA... Upper Middle Class. My EFC for this year is pretty high (30,000+) so I'm not really expecting too much FA. If I do indeed get no aid, my parents would rather me stay at my current school for undergrad (because it's closer and cheaper). At the start of the application process I told myself that I would only go to USC if I got a certain amount in scholarships/ grants. But after going through this year at my current school (which sucks more than ever btw) and visiting USC for a weekend, I've decided that no matter how much they give me, I'll go if accepted. This probably means that I'll have to take out a good deal of money in loans, but I've come to believe USC will be worth it.

An education is one of the most important investments one can make in their lives and USC offers more than just a quality education. The school creates an atmosphere that combines both an academic and social feel in a way that few other schools can. The school spirit and networking are among the best anywhere, and USC's overall prestige is gradually increasing every year. From my brief visit to USC, I saw that I was able to connect with the student body and I believe my experiences there will help me grow as a student and more importantly grow as a person. These academic and social benefits are worth more to me than the amount of money the school will cost. I'm just praying that I get in.
