So I did kind of bad in high school and I have to go to a local community college. My ultimate goal is to get a bachelors degree in film production at my dream school USC. I have other options of course but USC is what I want the most. My community college offers a film associates but I didnt want to take it because the classes my cc requires for the film degree would be the same classes id take at the intro level if i got into usc. basically id be retaking classes. so instead i thought id get my associates in the humanities before i transfer. does that degree look bad to colleges and film schools? should I just take my cc film and tv program? i liked the humanities one because i can learn about everything from music and philosophy to history and literature (im a nerd). and I also want to be a screenwriter so i thought a humanities degree would give me a good base of knowledge for writing. so anyway what do you think of my plan? can you give me any tips?
thanks !
Post this same question in the transfer thread:

Also, USC wants to see your GEs and core classes knocked out when you come in as a transfer, you will see this confirmed by the many people posting on the transfer thread. You may also reach out to the transfer department and see if they will answer any of these questions, or get email of someone you can contact. Be prepared, it is one of the most competitive schools to get into anywhere.
