USC Sophomore Transfer questions

Hi everyone,

I'm new to CC but I thought that many of the very knowledgable members here could give me a helping hand on my attempt to transfer to USC for the Fall 2011 Semester.

I am currently a student at the University of Washington, which I think will pose some difficulties for me because it is on the Quarter System. I know that USC is on the quarter system, and since I will only be done with one quarter by application time (around 10.6 semester units), they will probably look primarily at my high school records mixed with my college records.

My GPA from UW will probably be fairly decent, around a 3.7, which is good from a pretty tough 4 year university, however USC requires 2 semesters of english to be done.

I've already taken 1 quarters with almost, but does that mean I have to take 3 to equal USC's two semester requirement? I don't even think they have 3 different english composition classes here at UW.... So, what should I do?

yee,
USC is on the semester system. My suggestion is to visit the USC admissions website and read the paragraphs regarding transfers very carefully. It will help.

On CC there is a transfer forum. Go there and find the long USC transfer thread. The posters are happy to share information and hints about transferring to USC. If you still cannot find answers I suggest sending an e-mail to the Office of Admissions and pose your questions there.

Good luck!
