USC sponsored linen sets?

Anybody buy these? What's the quality of the sheets like? They seem to be pushing them really hard - 2 letters/order forms so far - but lots of places have twin XL stuff.

don’t buy them

Just curious - why not?

I have no direct experience with them, but at Orientation I asked around and discovered the following: Most people agree that the quality of the linens provided through the USC program isn’t great, but it sure is convenient.

It’s expensive for what it’s worth. Just go get some at Target.

**** I bought them.

I think I’m planning on buying them too. Even though there’s not as wide of a selection and the prices are a little higher, the last thing I want to do after flying from DC to LA on August 18th is spend hours searching Targets for twin XL sheets when there’s no guarantee they won’t be sold out.

Or if they’re sold out of everything except Strawberry Shortcake twin XL sheets. That would be bad too.

But I don’t know if I’d buy them if I lived closer.

For those of you coming from far away, you should know that Bed Bath and Beyond has a program called Pack-n-Hold. Go to the BBB near you and you basically do a wedding registry type thing. They give you a scan gun and you walk around and scan everything you want. They then print out the list and you designate a store and date to pick this stuff up at. You don’t have to prepay for anything. On the date you designate, you go to the store and they have everything together and ready for you. You go through it all and make sure its what you want. If theres stuff you now don’t want, you can pull it out and not take it. Its a great program and really convenient.

I want to get sheets here first to wash them even though I’ll have to fly with them in checked baggage. I’m really interested if anybody actually has some and can tell me what the quality is like. I checked out the twin XL at BB&B & the best ones they had seemed fine. But the USC stuff would be way convenient.

I got them at home and just packed to them school. No need to really try them out… they’re bedsheets. You get pretty much what you expect.

Tmish412…take the risk and go with the Strawberry shortcake if needed…a great conversation starter…hahaha just kidding…
Sheets are sheets but great info about BBB. They didn’t have that option when I started college 3 years ago, or at least I didn’t know about it.
