USC Transfer 2014 Appeal

Opened this thread to see how many people will appeal and get accepted!!

yay thanks!!

Now an entirely new game begins…APPEAL!

how long do you guys think it should be? I have a lot to say, but I don’t want to overwhelm them or go overboard with it

@ilovestemcells‌ I’d say long enough to state your case.

What is considered ‘new’ information in an appeal? Spring Grades?

@darren808‌ That is for you to decide. Anything could be new information but not everything can be looked as compelling.

@MarshallBound‌
Got it, thanks.

Hey y’all! I’m going to appeal. How does the process work? Do I just email my admission counselor a cover letter and appeal letter? Any of you know how long the process is?

@LAHarbor24‌ Yes. However, I don’t know how long the process will be.

@MarshallBound‌ I sent in my appeal. I’m feeling really good. To everyone writing an appeal, let your soul out on the letter.

@LAHarbor24‌ Wow already??? I’m giving myself until Friday to submit it. Hope your appeal is successful.

Where are you guys submitting your appeals to? Do we mail or email them? And also, do you think it’s a mistake to change your major, as in ask to be considered for a different major in your appeal letter? Thanks.

@MarshallBound‌ haha yup! I knew exactly what to say and was ready to go.
@Jazz49‌ You send an email to your admissions counselor and they respond with an email saying your appeal was sent to the committee.

how do you know who your admissions counselor is? is there even any point in appealing?

@estara89‌ Here you go: http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/findyourcounselor.html

I just sent in my appeal. Good luck to everyone! :-)

should we include anything specific in our appeal?

for those of you that sent your appeal in already, did you write an appeal letter and a cover letter as well?

@ilovestemcells‌ yes, that is exactly what i gave. I’m still waiting for my counselor to respond. Hope he does soon or I think I will call.
