I am thinking about transferring to USC in the Fall of 2016 as a junior. I currently go to Clarkson University which is considered a pre-ivy league school with difficult classes. I currently have a 3.3 GPA and shooting for a 4.0 next semester with all my core classes done with. I have a total of 36 credits as of now and taking another 18 credits the upcoming fall semester. Any thoughts on my chances of getting in? I plan on having an internship next semester as well as travel abroad with my university.
Hi there! I’m looking to transfer as a junior as well.
I believe you have a chance of getting in, although I don’t have enough info, but I strongly recommend that you take next semester seriously, as you could use some improvement.
Here are my stats:
HS GPA: 3.1
SAT: 2030 (M:670, R:670, W:690) I don’t know whether to retake it.
College GPA: 4.0 (Likely to remain that way this semester).
Major: Economics at a 4 year tier 2 national university.
ec’s: executive board member for the school’s volunteering agency. In charge of a committee of six. Started a food outreach program with tittle 1 elementary schools, and a computer literacy program for senior citizens. SGA Justice.
Let me know what you think as well.
Best of luck to you!
Another thing, make certain that you have all course pre-reqs for USC before traveling abroad. In fact, I would recommend that you reconsider traveling abroad if transferring is your priority.
