Hi guys. It's my first time here and I've been going through the 2014 USC transfer thread. It seems like there are a lot of successful transfers from CC. Congrats for those who have! However I have the choice of either going to a small private school, or a CC this fall. If I want to transfer to USC after my freshman year, which school is the best option for me?

If you plan on transferring to USC anyways i would go to a CC its cheaper and USC does not look down on you for attending one.I got accepted from a CA cc. Just make sure to be a full time student and finish your requirements. When i talked to the admissions office before i applied they stressed on carrying a full load because they want to make sure you can handle a semester at SC. Try to attend a transfer session USC offers them all the time they are very helpful. If you don’t mind me asking what small private school did you get admitted to?

Goggle ‘USC articulation agreements’, USC has agreements with some CCCs.

<a href=“USC-Articulation Agreement”>Error; lists USC articulation with California community colleges.

http://www.usc.edu/dept/ARR/articulation/earningcredit.html describes other articulation information. It looks like Whittier College is not listed, so any course work there would have to be individually evaluated if you transfer to USC.
